We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while providing exceptional service. The barista is a key ambassador for our brand, ensuring every customer has a positive experience.
Key Responsibilities
Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso drinks, blended coffees, teas, and specialty items, following company recipes and quality standards.
Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, provide menu recommendations, and answer questions regarding ingredients and preparation methods.
Cash Handling: Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system, receive and process payments (cash and credit cards) accurately.
Workspace Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area, including the coffee bar, equipment, and seating areas, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies such as cups, lids, and coffee beans, and report any maintenance needs for equipment.
Team Collaboration: Work efficiently as part of a team to ensure smooth operations and a positive environment during busy periods.
Qualifications & Skills
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Previous experience as a barista or in a customer service/hospitality role is a plus, but on-the-job training is often provided.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
Basic math skills for cash handling and measurements.A passion for coffee and a willingness to learn about different brewing techniques and products.
