Core Duties and Responsibilities

1. Beverage Preparation and Quality



Prepare and serve all menu items, including espresso shots, lattes, cappuccinos, pour-over coffee, teas, and specialty drinks, ensuring consistency and adherence to recipes. Master technical brewing skills, including precise coffee grinding, tamping, espresso extraction, and milk texturing/frothing. Customize drinks according to customer preferences (e.g., milk type, flavor shots, temperature). Maintain a high standard of quality and presentation, including the creation of latte art when required.

2. Customer Service and Order Handling



Greet all customers warmly and take food and beverage orders accurately. Process payments, handle cash, and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system with accuracy. Educate customers on menu items, coffee beans, brewing methods, and ingredients. Make personalized recommendations and upsell food, beverages, and merchandise. Resolve customer issues and complaints professionally and courteously to ensure satisfaction.

3. Cleaning and Maintenance



Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation (coffee bar, counters, and equipment) throughout the shift. Perform daily and scheduled cleaning and calibration of all coffee equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, and brewing tools. Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations (e.g., food safety, proper storage). Assist in cleaning and tidying the customer seating and dining areas.

4. Inventory and Operations



Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, pastries, and other supplies. Restock supplies, products, and merchandise in display cases and behind the counter. Assist with receiving and properly storing new inventory. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient cafe operations, especially during peak hours.
Required Qualifications and Skills

Hard Skills (Technical & Operational)



Beverage Crafting:

Proficiency in espresso preparation, milk steaming, and various coffee brewing methods (e.g., pour-over, French press).

Equipment Operation:

Hands-on experience operating and maintaining espresso machines, grinders, and POS systems.

Cash Handling:

Basic math skills and experience processing cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately.

Food Safety:

Knowledge of and adherence to sanitation and health regulations.

Soft Skills (Interpersonal & Attitude)



Customer Service Excellence:

A positive, engaging, and friendly demeanor with a commitment to creating a welcoming customer experience.

Communication:

Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.

Time Management & Multitasking:

The ability to work efficiently, prioritize tasks, and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Precision in following recipes, handling custom orders, and maintaining cleanliness.

A cooperative attitude and willingness to support colleagues to ensure smooth operations.

Physical Requirements



Ability to stand for long periods of time (4+ hours). Ability to lift and carry up to 25-50 pounds (e.g., bags of coffee, milk crates). Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹32,000.00 per month
