The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, beverages, and light snacks while ensuring excellent customer service. The role requires knowledge of coffee brewing methods, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages to restaurant standards.
Operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of beverages.
Greet customers politely and assist them with menu choices and recommendations.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the workstation, equipment, and serving area.
Handle cash/credit transactions (if applicable) and maintain billing accuracy.
Follow standard recipes and restaurant procedures for beverage preparation.
Stock and replenish coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies as required.
Comply with food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
Work closely with the service team to support smooth restaurant operations.
Qualifications & Skills:
Prior experience as a Barista or in a cafe/restaurant setting preferred.
Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, latte art, and beverage preparation.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
Basic knowledge of hygiene and safety practices.
Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Education:
High School/Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent.
Barista training/certification (preferred, not mandatory).
