Taking orders: Taking orders from customers using a till and handling cash.
Keeping the bar stocked: Making sure the bar top is stocked with everything guests may need. This includes taking inventory of bottles and related products.
Keeping the bar clean: Ensuring the bar is clean and well-stocked.
Monitoring guest flow: Ensuring that beverage services are attended to for all guests.
Verifying age: Verifying that customers are of drinking age.
Making recommendations: Providing knowledge of the general wine, beer, and alcoholic beverages the bar serves, to be able to make recommendations and answer questions
Coordinating customers' food and beverage orders with kitchen and bartending staff.
Communicating with customers to ensure satisfaction and resolve any complaints.
Removing dirty dishes from tables.
Cleaning tables after customers have finished their meals.
