The Bar Manager is responsible for overseeing all bar operations, ensuring exceptional guest experience, maintaining beverage quality, managing staff, controlling costs, and driving bar revenue. This role combines leadership, creativity, and operational excellence to deliver a profitable and well-managed bar.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day bar operations, including opening and closing procedures
Lead, train, schedule, and supervise bartenders and bar staff
Ensure consistent quality of beverages, cocktails, and service standards
Develop and update cocktail menus in line with brand identity and trends
Maintain inventory control, ordering, stock rotation, and wastage control
Monitor beverage costs, sales performance, and profitability
Ensure compliance with liquor laws, licensing requirements, and safety regulations
Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards behind the bar
Handle guest feedback and resolve service issues professionally
Coordinate with kitchen, procurement, and management teams
Plan promotions, events, and bar activations to increase revenue
Qualifications & Skills
Degree or diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or related field (preferred)
3-6 years of experience in bar operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
Strong knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, cocktails, and mixology
Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills
Ability to manage costs, analyze sales reports, and optimize profitability
Knowledge of POS systems and inventory management tools
Strong understanding of hygiene, safety, and legal compliance

Experience in craft beer, brewery, or premium bar concepts
