The Banquet Manager oversees all aspects of banquet operations, ensuring exceptional service delivery for events such as weddings, corporate meetings, and social gatherings. This role involves coordinating staff, and maintaining high standards of hospitality to create memorable guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Event Planning & Coordination
Collaborate with clients and event planners to understand banquet requirements.
Develop detailed event plans including seating arrangements, menu selections, and timelines.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
Proactively source new banquet clients through networking, referrals, and marketing initiatives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, wedding planners, and event agencies.
Negotiate contracts and close sales to meet revenue targets.
Staff Management
Hire, train, and supervise banquet staff including servers, bartenders, and setup crews.
Assign duties and monitor performance to ensure smooth execution.
Operational Oversight
Ensure banquet rooms are properly set up and maintained.
Oversee food and beverage service, ensuring quality and timeliness.
Manage inventory of banquet supplies and equipment.
Client Relations
Serve as the primary point of contact during events.
Address client concerns promptly and professionally.
Budget & Cost Control
Monitor expenses and labor costs to stay within budget.
Assist in pricing and billing for banquet services.
Qualifications
Proven experience in banquet or hospitality management.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Speaking Hindi is added advantage.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Familiarity with banquet software and POS systems is a plus.
