Key responsibilities of a bakery worker:

Preparation:

Measuring ingredients precisely according to recipes Mixing doughs and batters Shaping dough for different baked goods Proofing dough Baking according to proper temperatures and timings

Decoration and Finishing:

Icing, glazing, or topping baked goods with appropriate decorations Piping intricate designs on pastries Assembling layered cakes

Quality Control:

Checking ingredients for freshness and quality Monitoring baking process to ensure consistency Inspecting finished products for appearance and taste

Inventory Management:

Maintaining proper stock levels of ingredients Ordering supplies as needed Rotating stock to ensure freshness

Equipment Operation:

Operating ovens, mixers, and other bakery equipment safely and efficiently Cleaning and sanitizing equipment after use

Food Safety:

Adhering to all food safety regulations Practicing proper hygiene and sanitation procedures
