  • Specialist role – to act as the primary point of contact for formal internal and external reconciliations and control reports across, Stocks, FX, Warrants and Convertible Bonds.
  • For IBMO Control distributed reconciliations and control reports ensure that all breaks are investigated daily and appropriate action is taken to ensure resolution. Aged items should be escalated to senior management in accordance with the IBMO Escalation policy.
  • For IBMO owned reconciliations and control reports ensure that these are produced daily and all breaks are investigated daily and appropriate action is taken to ensure resolution or exceptions are highlighted to the on-shore team. Aged items should be escalated to senior management in accordance with the IBMO Escalation policy.
  • Ensure adherence to the one-sided trade escalation policy
  • Ensure adherence to the daily BCheck policy for signing off completed tasks
  • Send an EOD summary to on-shore stakeholders for items aged > 2 days and any daily one sided items.
  • Ensure that procedure documents and Bcontrol maps are maintained and updated for all processes covered.
  • Ensuring controls are adhered to, and streamlining existing processes for increased control and maximum efficiency.
  • Input daily metrics around aged / outstanding exceptions 0nto the IBMO Daily Hypercube submission process.
  • Feed the aged exceptions for inclusion into the IBMO Equities Weekly Risk pack every Monday
  • Attend the IBMO Weekly risk meeting to talk through the aged / risk items on the reconciliations/control report covered.
What will you be doing?
  • Cover products across the entire Equities desk
  • The role will require close contact with various Ops teams, IT and the front office, and clients so good communication skills are essential to this role.
  • Ensure any areas of concern are identified and escalated to senior management and the business as necessary, while attempting to implement both short term and long term resolutions if the problem is reoccurring.
  • Manage available time to ensure most efficient team output, while ensuring no controls are compromised.
  • This is a challenging role with a wide variety of exotic products and high volumes environment with various deadlines to meet on a daily basis, candidate must be able to think on their feet and have a high level of competency in many skill sets.
  • The role is suitable for candidates who are detail-oriented with strong communication both written and verbal skills.
  • Minimum of two years experience working with exotic derivatives in a trade support or similar non-Back Office line function in an Investment Bank or equivalent institution.
  • Experience and understanding for trade lifecycle and familiarity with, complex payout calculations.
  • Strong people influencing skills and an ability to ‘get things done’ for the business.
  • A systems-based approach, understanding workflow diagrams and decision trees. This informs a significant amount of our day-to-day in resolving issues with structures.

What we’re looking for:
  • Degree Educated with 4-7 years experience in an Operational environment.
  • Experience gained in High Volume House and client service environment.
  • Flexible and professional under pressure
  • Excellent verbal and written skills. Fluent in English.
  • Highly numerate with analytical problem solving ability.
  • Results Driven.
