Job description B2B Channel Sales Manager Department: Sales Reporting to: DGM, ED A B2B (business-to-business) Channel Sales Manager is responsible for developing and managing relationships with channel partners to drive sales and increase the revenue of the company. Their primary duties and responsibilities include:

  • Channel Development: Identifying potential channel partners, evaluating their suitability, and establishing strategic alliances to expand the company\'s reach in the market.
  • Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with channel partners, including distributors, resellers, and retailers, through regular communication, training, and support. This involves collaborating closely with partners to ensure they have the necessary resources to effectively sell the company\'s products or services.
  • Sales Strategy and Planning: Developing effective sales strategies and plans in collaboration with channel partners to meet revenue targets. This includes setting sales objectives, forecasting sales volumes, and implementing appropriate pricing and promotional strategies.
  • Performance Monitoring: Tracking and analyzing sales data, market trends, and partner performance to identify areas for improvement. The sales manager is responsible for assessing channel partner effectiveness, providing feedback, and implementing measures to enhance their sales performance.
  • Training and Support: Conducting product and sales training sessions for channel partners and their employees to ensure they possess the knowledge and skills required to effectively promote and sell the company\'s offerings. The sales manager also provides ongoing support, guidance, and troubleshooting assistance as needed.
  • Collaborative Planning: Collaborating with internal teams such as marketing, product development, and finance to align channel strategies with overall business objectives. This includes coordinating product launches, marketing campaigns, and incentive programs to maximize channel partner engagement and success.
Qualifications for a B2B channel sales manager typically include: Education Qualification: UG/MBA or PGDM
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in B2B sales and channel management, preferably within the same industry or a related field for 4-5 years. Prior experience in sales or account management roles is often required to understand the dynamics of the sales process and effectively manage partnerships.   • Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Proficiency in analyzing sales data, market research, and performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges. The sales manager should be able to develop data-driven strategies and make informed decisions to optimize channel sales.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address issues that may arise in the channel partner network, such as pricing disputes, market shifts, or customer concerns. The ability to think creatively and find effective solutions is vital.
