Overview

A critical priority for Asset Management is to ensure that a comprehensive set of high-quality data is available to run our business and meet client needs. The Asset Wealth Management (AWM) Chief Data Office (CDO) was established in 2014 to define AWM's core data strategy. This includes data for clients and accounts, products, securities prices, transactions and holdings, indexes, benchmarks, performance and analytics. The AWM CDO is positioned in the Asset Wealth Management Operations division within AWM Center. We work with the AWM business and Firm wide CDO to analyze data, establish data quality standards and ensure data governance. We partner with the business and technology to implement data systems and process solutions.

The AWM CDO - Data Health Monitoring will be part of the broader AWM CDO team. The individual will work as a Scrum Master for setting up Data Quality validations on AWM applications. This requires good understanding of business data (client, security, transaction, position, performance etc.) and industry best practices of data definitions, usage etc. Metrics reporting of DQ Health and other critical reporting to support Data Office function. The role expects front to back ownership of AWM Data Health Monitoring aspects. The individual will also help layout the Data Quality technology platform ownership with technology teams to ensure we can capture all data quality exceptions, results and dashboard capabilities.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Function as a Scrum Master for Data Health Monitoring setup
• Participate in the definition of functional requirements for the Data Quality Engine and Operational Data Quality User Interface.

Qualifications

Industry Knowledge

• 7 or more years of experience in Finance, Consulting or Technology industries
• 2 or more years of experience as a scrum master

Functional Skills

• 3 or more years of experience managing data analysis projects
• 3 or more years in an operational environment with responsibility for daily data loads and exception management
• Superior analytical skills: Quickly define and deconstruct problems. Identify patterns. Identify root causes. Proposes multiple solution paths
• Superior organizational and project management skills
• Proactively identify and manage risk
• Excellent issue resolution and negotiation skills
• Metrics reporting and data dashboards using Qlik, Tableau or similar tools
• Experience performing four or more of the following functions: data mapping, data analytics, data modeling, business analysis, technical analysis, process flow mapping, data governance, and/or auditing Delivery Skills
• Track record of setting and achieving challenging goals
• Demonstrated ability to achieve delivery goals without direct control over resources
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple work streams concurrently
