Introduction: RFT COO provides strategic and Subject Matter Expert (SME) direction and governance regarding the delivery of Processes, Technology, Operations and Programme Management for the Risk, Finance and Treasury functional groups. What will you be doing?

  • Support the relationship with the Data Domain business teams to ensure data standards are part of the domains BAU operating model
  • Support monthly Data Forums and Council meetings preparations
  • Escalate issues through the AVP reporting line to Group Data Councils and assist in the remediation
  • Work closely with subject matter experts within the business, technology and operations functions to ensure compliance to the data standards including identification and resolution of data quality issues.
  • Work alongside other Chief Data Office teams to ensure consistency of approach and front-to-back lineage being delivered including business benefit articulation
  • Support data governance and quality assurance activities
  • Provide project updates and report on progress on data quality and control remediation activities
  • Generate ideas to enhance lineage, data quality & metadata tools benefiting CDO & Domain stakeholders

Data Domain Management:
  • Support the RFT business in managing existing and new Data Domains, sub-data domain and Critical Data Elements under the RFT ownership
  • Support maintenance of business glossary for Data Domains and Critical Data Elements (CDEs) via the running of annual attestation

Authoritative Data Sources (ADS) Management:
  • Support the ADS identification and adoption activities across Risk, Finance and Treasury
  • Work alongside Data Architecture teams to help identify and track migration of RFT processes to the Authoritative Data Sources

Data Lineage:
  • Support delivery plans of the Data Lineage & Metadata team
  • Support identification and resolution of data lineage issues, supporting the analysis and creation of remediation plans in partnership with BAU teams
  • Ensure the creation and maintenance of our Data Entity standards and interlocks with the CDO offices
  • Ensure the creation and maintenance of Data Models, capturing and establishing lineages between various models, data requirements, and business requirements.
  • Support annual attestation activities of critical data flows
  • Support/provide inputs for Data Governance Forums

Data Quality
  • Support data quality issue & measures related activity in partnership with domain data
  • Maintain repository of measures aligned to issues impacting business areas
  • Monitor, track and report on status of data quality issues recorded
  • Maintain catalogue of reference material to facilitate issue management
Support/provide inputs for Data Governance Forums
What we’re looking for: Education
  • Bachelors/Masters with background in Investment Banking and Finance.
  • Relevant work experience 7-8 years in some or all of the skills below

Technical skills
  • Experience working with large data sets in order to extract business insights
  • Hands-on experience in developing Data Lineage, Data Profiling, Data Quality Rule Implementation, Business Rules Validation, Identification of Data Errors and Produce/Publish DQ reports
  • Good to have SQL and VBA Macro
  • Nice to have knowledge on JIRA or any workflow tools, Dashboard tools
  • Effective problem solver, organized. Team player
  • Creative Thinker in Technology Tooling and applications
  • Good Communication and Presentation skills
  • Able to create ad-hoc reports, dashboard using MS Excel, MS Power Point and Visio.
  • Ability to multi-tasking and support multiple data management standards
  • Preferably has experience in Data Management and/or Data Governance in banking and finance domains
  • Effectively drive Change Management initiative for implementation
