We are seeking a dynamic and experienced AVP Liquidity Data & Analytics Developer to join our team.

The role includes taking a pivotal role in both Run The Bank and Change The Bank activities within the Stress Testing & Analytics Team in Global Liquidity. In this role the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of existing liquidity risk systems and solutions. The candidate will be required to actively monitor, diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve issues in order to maintain optimal performance. Additionally the candidate will contribute to the evolution and enhancement of existing liquidity risk systems and contribute toward continuous improvement of risk management tooling and visualisation. This role involves collaboration with cross functional teams, problem solving, effective time management, and staying up to date with industry best practice. The existing team is a delivery focussed and dynamic environment which is able to support the candidate through an open and collaborative culture.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Supporting database activities to ensure end-user solutions are performing in line with expectations.
  • Perform data analysis to and validate and implement new methodologies.
  • Support the development of proof of concept models and support deployment of models into strategic architecture.
  • Work with technology teams to implement new models into the group\xe2\x80\x99s central systems.
  • Support the updates of liquidity procedures to reflect new modelling approaches.
Requirements

What you will need to succeed in the role:

Requirements:
  • Minimum of degree level qualification from a registered education institution.
  • 8-12 years of relevant post qualification experience in Treasury related risk roles within a Top-Tier financial services industry.
  • Strong experience in database management, with strong knowledge of SQL is fundamental to this role.
  • Experience in SQL Server BI Stack (SQL, SSIS, SQL SERVER AGENT), using third party tools such as Alteryx and Google Cloud Platform, and proficiency in Python for data manipulation and data analysis
  • Strong knowledge of Liquidity risk measurement and management beyond regulatory prescribed principles. An understanding key liquidity reports such as ILM, LCR, NSFR, PRA110, and other secondary monitoring metrics are advantageous.
  • The following soft skills, combined with technical expertise, will contribute to a well-rounded and effective Liquidity Risk Management Developer.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and contribute to strategic discussions. Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and vice versa.
  • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions, regulatory requirements, and evolving technologies in the field of liquidity risk management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, fostering a cooperative and inclusive work environment.

Additionally, the following technical skillset is required to effectively carry out the role:
  • SQL Server BI Stack Expertise:
  • Proven proficiency in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).
  • Experience in designing and implementing ETL processes for efficient data integration.
Database Management:
  • Hands-on experience in database administration and optimization.
  • Ability to design, implement, and maintain robust databases, ensuring data integrity and performance.
  • Cloud Infrastructure:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cloud platforms, such as Google Cloud Platform and their BI-related services.
  • Experience in migrating and managing BI solutions in cloud environments.
Data Warehousing:
  • In-depth understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
  • Proficient in designing and maintaining data warehouses to support business intelligence needs.
  • Problem-Solving Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve issues in BI processes.
  • Capacity to optimize queries and processes for enhanced performance.
Documentation:

Thorough documentation skills to create and maintain technical documentation for BI solutions and database management processes.
