ICG (Institutional Clients Group) is one of Citi\xe2\x80\x99s core banking business sectors, covers Capital Markets Origination, Corporate and Investment Banking, Markets and Securities Services, Treasury & Trade Solutions, and Private Banking etc.

The AVP, Lead Software Engineer is a hands-on web application developer and technical lead role who will be working on industry cutting-edge technologies to provide business critical software solutions to our institutional clients and customers across the globe. The job responsibilities include:

• Work as Tech Lead and senior developer and support multiple banking applications together with global teams in other locations.
• Takes responsibility for timeline and good quality of solution deliverables.
• Involving into or do system/component design & implementation with counterparty in New York, London, and other locations.
• Translates functional requirement or specifications into technical solutions and implement the solutions with plans and executions.
• Responsible for people management, covers hiring, coaching, team building, performance evaluation etc.
• Responsible for continuous improvement, by implementing best practices to software architecture, software development process and new technologies etc.
• Communicates with business and other project teams to deliver the project per agreed schedule.

Required Technical Skills

• Hands on work experience in Front-end or back-end web applications development experience (prefer full stack development experience)
• Must be familiar with Java and Spring boot frameworks.
• Must be familiar with DB and SQL commands.
• Must be familiar with JavaScript, HTML (5) / CSS (3)
• Must be familiar with popular JavaScript libraries (prefer Node.JS, AngularJS or React)
• Must be familiar with one of the modern MVC framework (prefer struts 2.x)
• Solid knowledge and experience of software development lifecycle/procedures, and continuous process improvement.
• Must be familiar with Web Services

Optional Technical Skills

• Experience in Web Security
• Experience working in an agile environment.
• Experience in Linux command lines

Required Non-Technical Skills

• 8+ years software development work experience.
• 2+ years project and team management experience
• Must have good written and oral communication skills.
• Must be comfortable participating in technical discussions and giving technical presentations.
• Be a highly motivated, self-starting individual willing to work in a dynamic work environment.
• Work under pressure, manage conflicts and challenges.
• Must demonstrate analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Optional Non-Technical Skills

• Have a sound macro view of the working of Global financial markets.
• Have a fundamental understanding of the workings of financial institutions, specifically investment banks.

Education

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, EE, Mathematics, or related majors.
• With Financial knowledge or background is a plus
