Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and 5-10 years experienced Test Lead with a strong background in manual and automation testing using Java and Selenium. The ideal candidate will lead the QA efforts for one or more projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software through effective test planning, execution, and automation strategies. Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage end-to-end testing activities (manual + automation) across projects.
Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Java and Selenium.
Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product owners, and DevOps.
Identify, log, track, and drive resolution of defects and issues.
Optimize and maintain the automation suite for maximum efficiency and coverage.
Review code and test scripts created by team members to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
Mentor junior QA engineers and provide technical leadership to the team.
Define and implement QA processes, tools, and best practices.
Report test progress, metrics, and results to stakeholders. Requirements:
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
5-10 years of experience in software testing, with at least 4+ years in test automation.
Strong programming skills in Java.
Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, TestNG or JUnit.
Experience in manual testing, test case design, and defect management.
Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
Experience with tools like JIRA, Git, Jenkins, Maven, Postman.
Exposure to API testing, performance testing tools is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
