Background
As a quality focused firm, Rauland needs to ensure the quality and integrity of the it’s firmware and software SKUs while meeting aggressive schedule commitments. Regression testing takes multiple weeks since it is currently manual, and we have expanded the number of test cases substantially by adding features and integrations to R5 since 2008. We are currently unable to perform validation on our patches owing to the long cycle time. Automating our test cases will allow us to reduce our regression test cycle time since these tests can run 24 hours a day. Additionally, we can perform these tests longer and identify performance or functional issues that cannot be identified until a test is run multiple times. Finally, automation testing will allow us to test our automated builds on a continuous basis and allow us to detect issues early in the development cycle. Test automation, along with build automation and automated deployments will become the three key pillars of our continuous (CI) strategy.
& Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
The automation test engineer will be responsible for driving test automation across the test organization and delivering automation test cases. Key responsibilities include:

• Author automation test plans from requirement specifications.
• Create /updated new automation test scripts for functional (features/UI etc.) and non-functional (scale, regulatory etc.) requirements.
• Provide estimates for test automation activities.
• Liaise with manual test engineers during the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Ensure that quality standards are adhered to during the development of products.
• Collect and create test data for functional and non-functional automated testing.
• Run functional and non-functional automated tests.
• Developing new automated test systems for our products.
• Ensure software is of highest quality by contributing to software products, build infrastructure and test environments
• Work with all stakeholders to ensure all software releases are fully tested

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science (or equivalent through experience and certifications).
• 5 -10 years’ experience encompassing executing test automation:
  • On scalable enterprise (web) applications.
  • Using Scale and load testing tools.
  • Using multiple automation test platforms, frameworks and analysis tool like Cypress, Postman, SOAPUI, LoadRunner, JMeter, SQL Server Profiler, Wireshark etc.
  • Working in a SCRUM team
  • Working in a CI environment
  • Using defect tracking systems (JAMA, Jira, DevOps etc.).
  • Using source code controls tools (DevOps, Serena, Git etc.)
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Good documentation skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Flexible working hours, some of which must overlap with the US Team Scrum & Technical meetings

• Implementing Blackbox testing and Whitebox testing
• Experience testing the integration of embedded systems with IT systems
• Experience in audio testing.
• Experience with scientific or medical equipment software testing a plus
