This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Automation Engineer in India.
As an Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining automated solutions that streamline infrastructure, deployment, and operations processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement CI/CD pipelines, integrate automation with enterprise tools, and ensure security and compliance across systems. This role provides an opportunity to innovate on automation frameworks, optimize customer onboarding and platform management, and contribute to the growth of managed services. Your work will directly enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability, while fostering collaboration across engineering, QA, and operations teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Accountabilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated tools for infrastructure management and platform lifecycle operations.
• Implement CI/CD processes to ensure secure, automated deployment and testing of software changes.
• Develop scripts and applications for API functional, performance, security, and integration testing.
• Integrate automation functions with enterprise tools such as ServiceNow and other internal platforms.
• Monitor and document defects, collaborating with development teams for timely resolution.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for automation technologies and provide guidance to internal teams.
• Create and maintain technical documentation while ensuring adherence to security and compliance standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in automation, DevOps, or managed services.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps) and scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Experience with containerization, orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Strong understanding of API concepts and testing (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML) and experience with API testing frameworks (Postman, Rest Assured, SoapUI, Karate).
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows environments, databases (MySQL, Elasticsearch), and IT enterprise systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of IT security principles and ability to incorporate best practices into automation workflows.
• Experience with Scrum methodologies and leading agile sessions is desirable.
