Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer / Test Automation Engineer with strong experience in both manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the software testing lifecycle, hands-on expertise in automation frameworks, and experience validating APIs and databases. This role requires close collaboration with development and product teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Key Responsibilities

• Understand business and technical requirements and translate them into effective test strategies.

• Design, write, and execute manual test cases and test scenarios.

• Develop, execute, and maintain automation test scripts using frameworks such as Selenium with TestNG or JUnit.

• Perform API testing using tools like Postman and Rest Assured.

• Conduct database validation using SQL queries.

• Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools such as Azure DevOps or Bugzilla.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.

• Perform regression, functional, and smoke testing across releases.

• Collaborate with developers to debug issues and ensure timely defect resolution.

• Participate in test planning, test estimation, and test reporting activities.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3-6 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.

• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.

• Hands-on experience in manual testing and test case design.

• Proficiency in automation testing frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, or JUnit.

• Experience with API testing tools like Postman and Rest Assured.

• Good knowledge of SQL for backend and data validation.

• Familiarity with version control systems (Git).

• Experience working with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.

• Hands-on experience with bug tracking tools (Azure DevOps, Bugzilla, or similar).

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) or security testing concepts.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Knowledge of test automation best practices and frameworks design.

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
