Function Name Chassis Electronics Diagnostic EngineerFunction Type Individual ContributorOrg Unit Engineering, Res earch and DevelopmentJob Family EngineeringSub Job Family TechnicalPosition level L2.1Scope of RoleThe successful applicant fo r this position will join our Chassis Electronics Team and will be responsible for the design, development, releasing, integration and delivery of state-of-the-art Chassis Electronics diagnostic artefacts, development of existing diagnostic implementation and creation / maintenance of diagnostic documentation.We require experienced Diagnostics Engineers from an automotive background, prefera ble within the Electric Vehicle domain. You will have a strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics standards like UDS, ISO-14229, ISO-15765, SAE J1979, J2534, etc and knowledge of OBD-II, cyber security process and its impact on bootloader would be beneficial.Th e role will be mostly remote with occasional time spent onsite in Leamington Spa.Dimension of FunctionOur Engineering Research and Development team (ER&D) is a fast-growing function within Tata Technologies Limited, that is assembled to work on exciting projects globally for multiple customers. Chassis Electronics team is responsible for multiple ECU commodities including Traction Control Module, Stability Control, Steering, ABS systems, dampers, etc. Additional responsibilities include design, development of technical specification and requirements control, testing and integration for delivery on all Chassis modules. A position within the Chassis Electronics team requires a highly motivated and hands-on team player, with exceptional attention to detail, diligence, a positive attitude and the ability to communicate well. The fast-paced development provides a challenging environment suited to an engineer who can quickly develop skills in new areas, and liaise with and drive other engineers within a multidisciplinary/global team. Design and Develop new and existing diagnostic artefacts in t he context of Chassis system commodities. Identify opportunities to lead development of supplier competency with regard to diagnost ic design and integration. Actively seek diagnostic improvement opportunities and lead diagnostic improvement work streams. Suppor t Pre-Production and Production End-Of-Line testing. Creation and Maintenance of ODX/Part 2 documents + Diagnostics Specifications . Conduct EOL & AS Process Reviews. Evaluate EOL & AS templates to ensure that is complies with Diagnostics Specifications and capt ures all processes. Creation and Maintenance of Guided diagnostics/repair manuals. Retrieve DTC data from ODX files/ECU owners/sup pliersKnowledge / Experience. Knowledge or prior experience of working with vehicle architecture team in an established OEM.. Goo d understanding of the structure in classic Autosar and knowledge of diagnostics components like DEM, DCM. Understanding of automot ive CAN, LIN, Ethernet, Flexray and DoIP.. Proven capability of analysing vehicle and device level logs in CANalyser or Wireshark f or determining any diagnostic compliance or non-compliance issues.. Understanding of the concepts behind DTC creation and DID/PID a ssignment based on the hardware and software layout. Experience of requirement cascade tools like DOORS, Code beamer etc.. Experie nce of issue management tools like JIRA, RTC etc.Competences. Knowledge of ODX file format and its generation via tools like ODX s tudio would be preferable
