Opportunity
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic business analyst to join our Power
Platform delivery team. You will need to demonstrate a solid understanding of the analyst role within an agile framework and a desire to listen and work with peers across technology. Most importantly you will need to show that you can face off to business users as well as technical team members and that you can be a valued considerate member of a small team. You will take responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of software and engage business users where necessary, and at an appropriate level.
Where we don't have a product owner in the business, you will act as notional product owner during the delivery process and will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery. As well as business analysis you will need to be comfortable operating in a systems analyst or data analystrole at times in order to see the work through. Our work vary from green-field projects to legacy application replacements to delivering bespoke capabilities on strategic initiatives.
You will need to support our Power Platform engineers through the processes required for deploying supportable and stable software in M&G. This may include engaging with security, data privacy and architecture teams depending on the specific project. The ability to build strong relationships in these areas will be an asset to the wider team so good communication and a collaborative attitude are key. You will also need to ensure documentation is maintained in line with the processes set out by the Power Platform delivery and support teams. Critical analysis of our procedures is also welcome while we constantly look to evolve and better ourselves!
A background in Asset Management will be advantageous to ensure you get off to a strong start in this role, but for the right candidate we will accept wider Financial Services experience and can offer training and support to bring your domain knowledge up to the level required.
Key responsibilities

• You will work collaboratively with design/development/analyst colleagues in order to ensure that solutions address the requirements of the business
• You will aim to deliver early value to the business and incremental value thereafter
• You will facilitate requirements gathering through sessions with business users and the delivery team
• You will work closely with the Power Platform support analysts to ensure that solutions are in a supportable and stable condition before deploying to production
• You will ensure documentation across our solutions is maintained to our standards, enabling future development as well as satisfying our support function
• You will be a key member of a small team of analysts and will share and collaborate with them on project work as well as internal team processes
• You will "own" the end-to-end delivery of software and the relationship with the business stakeholders
• You will perform systems analysis and data analysis where required to support the delivery team
• You will escalate issues early, engaging the business stakeholders where delivery dates are impacted
• You will collaborate with other teams across technology to define best practices in analysis and process
• You will perform light-touch project management where required
• You will develop and maintain strong business user relationships

What we are looking for
Essential

• 5+ years working in technology
• 3+ years working in an analyst role
• 3+ years working in a highly regulated environment such as Financial Services
• Experience of business and process analysis
• Understanding of the Power Platform tools and ecosystem, including Power BI and RPA platforms (UiPath, Automation Anywhere) ecosystem, including Power BI and

Automation tools.

• Must have very strong problem analysis and investigation skills and be able to find creative sustainable solutions
• Knowledge/experience of agile development practices and have worked under an agile methodology
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with end users and technology stakeholders
• Ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks across diverse stakeholders

• Ability to work reliably without close supervision and used to working in a structured environment with clearly defined procedures and controls
• Good interpersonal skills are key, the candidate must be able to work well with other members of the team, management and business users

Useful

• 3+ years working in asset management or wealth management
• Understanding of the wider O365 stack of technologies and Azure
• Experienced in issue/problem management - on both technical and user/process basis
• Experience of Atlassian products (JIRA/Confluence)
