Hybrid Working

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We\xe2\x80\x99re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances These requests will be reviewed and agreed for a period of time i.e., will have a start and end date.

Introduction:

• Test and Develop applications for BARX application suite, specifically BARX FX
• These include design and development of server side applications to implement new functionalities and supporting the existing applications

What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for:

• Work with team in development of Java based automation framework and tools for the Markets Execution department as defined by business requirements and prioritization.
• The ideal candidate will fit into the team and the current code base, make it their own, and use this as a base to be able to design and develop new components. This will include ongoing re-implementations of the existing frameworks, extensions thereof and ongoing support of those systems.

The QA Automation team is responsible for signing off all releases to UAT (for user sign off) and ultimately Production. We have developed (and still continue to develop) a state-of-art automation platform which allows components as well as integration testing of any and all components \xe2\x80\x9cfront-to-back\xe2\x80\x9d (as mentioned above). The role is for a Test Automation Engineer to help with the development of our automation framework but also to look after our tools and services which make Automation possible. You will also be responsible for the analysing of requirements, providing test estimation, development and execution of test cases and test scripts. This is one of the most challenging and rewarding environment to work on as it covers all aspect of testing of the Markets Execution flow.

• Techno-functional role working in a QA team performing development and execution of test cases
• To gather requirements, collect and provide feedback and test status on regular basis.
• Support of test automation effort across QA, UAT phases of new releases SUT (System Under Test)
• Development and execution of automated test cases for applications within Markets Execution platform.
• Help manage test environment and test data ensuring support of test efforts and schedules.
• Collaborate with development teams on common approach of Continuous delivery model
• Deliver high quality work
• Develop and design automation test

Skills that will help you in the role :

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree
• Relevant years of experience with server side automation using Core Java.
• Scripting skills on Unix such as shell, Perl and Python
• Experience in writing and debugging SQL Stored Procedures and Queries for Oracle Database.
• Good written and oral communication skills

What will you be doing?

• Relevant years of experience in REST API services.
• Relevant years of experience in designing and execution of test cases and test scripts
• Experience working on a Unix/Linux shell
• Experience with build stack based on Maven, Continuous Delivery, Code Quality
• Be able to interact with global teams
• Experience in project management
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with others, self starter
• Able to take on responsibility and work independently
• Fluent English \xe2\x80\x93 oral and written
• Results-oriented, self-starter with positive "can-do" attitude
