Job Title - Automated Test Developer, Associate

Location- Pune/ Bangalore

With ServiceNow, we are establishing a Centre of Excellence (CoE) located in India (Pune and Bangalore), which will support our transformation priorities. ServiceNow is integral to the creation of digital workflows throughout the bank's global operations and will help us simplify operations, empower employees, improve customer service, and bring innovation to market faster.

You will be joining the Foundational Platforms team responsible for strategy and development for the core, cross-technology software tool sets of IT Service Management, Asset Management and Risk Management. These products are vital to friction-less processes that are reliant on golden source data, and to enable intelligent use and management of the application/service estate. Foundational Platforms is responsible for driving improvement in the governance processes and exposing the data necessary to capitalize on analytics and automation opportunities.

The intent of the Automation Test team is to liaise with the ServiceNow engineers to complete the automation test scripts with an overarching goal of protecting production stability of the platform and improving long-term productivity of the feature teams.

The Automated Test Developer role is responsible for writing automation test scripts using ServiceNow native Automation Test Framework (ATF) and other technologies such as Java/Cucumber as required.

Your key responsibilities

• Ensures that testing activities are being conducted in accordance with the testing strategy and plan.
• Perform and achieve in sprint testing team and release goals.
• Create test documents like: Test Plan, Test Risk Assessments, and Test Results and make sure that they are reviewed and approved by appropriate stakeholders
• Participate in estimation of User Stories
• Create, Automate and Execute test cases to cover all user stories acceptance criteria and honour timely deliveries.
• Increase the test coverage and test speed by automating all possible test cases
• Create and develop test automation frameworks.
• Integrate the test automation framework into CI/CD pipeline.
• Participate and help in knowledge transfer sessions when necessary
• Coordinate the preparation of test environments
• Define and create all test data / test data generators needed for the tests
• Align with dev team to understand the integration with different systems to execute System Integration Testing
• Verify entry/exit criteria for all SIT, UAT, DRY RUN, PROD phases

Your skills and experience

• Experience in UI test automation using any of the available tools (ServiceNow ATF, selenium, puppeteer, WebdriverIO etc.)
• Experience in API test automation using any of the available tools (rest-assured, karate, etc.)
• Experience in using/following - GIT, confluence, test case management, test strategies and execution plan.
• Experience in agile QA processes, In-Sprint testing, and Signoffs.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
