Assess the Market potential for each region and identify the new business opportunities.
Forecast the customer wise and product wise sales for the region
Submit the sales forecast and the sales plan to management within the set timelines.
Discuss and finalize the sales target for the region.
Communicate the finalized sales target and sales plan to the team in a timely manner.
Implement the sales plan by breaking down targets' customer wise and product wise for each region.
Ensure that the assigned region meets the set sales targets and grow the business continuously through existing and new customers.
Ensure smooth functioning of the day-to-day operations by supporting and motivating the Sales Engineers in achieving their individual sales target and inform any deviation to the Management.
Conduct regular meetings especially weekly review meeting with the team to analyze the performance of every Sales Engineer against the set sales plan and inform any relevant communication from the head office management.
Update on business performance, new initiatives and handle all pertinent issues in a professional and unbiased manner.
Prepare a travel plan to visit the assigned region to identify issues hampering the growth of the business (if required).
Ensure that the team identifies business opportunities through different sources.
Guide the team in developing relationship with prospective customers
Interact with customer and understand the need of the customer
Explain the product specifications to the customer and recommend products as per the customer requirement.
Consult the CEO and the technical department on technical and commercial terms.
Facilitate/organize the meeting of technical department with the customer to gain a in-depth understanding of the customer requirement
Guide the team in negotiating with the customer on the price and timelines on the delivery of the product
Ensure the team provides information on the customer, the customer requirement and commercial terms to the Design team to prepare the approval drawings.
Follow-up with the team and guide them in interacting with the customer for closure on the proposal
Follow-up with the customer on pending payments
Ensure the team updates the status of proposals, customer meetings, payment follow-up in the Sales CRM as per the set timelines
Provide feedback from customers on product features, quality, customer needs etc. to the technical department to improve and develop new products
Approve the weekly plan of the Sales Engineers on meeting the customers
Identify new dealers for the assigned region
Guide the team in identifying and registering with new consultants who can recommend our products to prospective customers.
Ensure the team conducts seminars for existing and prospective customers on the various products periodically
