Job Description

The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of a restaurant, ensuring high-quality customer service, smooth operations, and meeting financial goals. The assistant manager is responsible for managing staff, maintaining cleanliness and organization, handling customer concerns, and ensuring the restaurant's success in delivering a great dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Staff Supervision:

Assist in managing and supervising restaurant staff, including servers, cooks, and cleaning personnel. Assist with hiring, training, and evaluating employees. Create staff schedules and assign duties to ensure proper coverage.

Customer Service:

Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner. Ensure the restaurant provides exceptional dining experiences. Monitor the restaurant's environment to ensure guests feel comfortable.

Operations Management:

Assist in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, service, and cleaning. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels. Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and address any maintenance needs.

Financial Responsibilities:

Assist in managing restaurant budgets, including labor, food costs, and overhead. Monitor and track sales and revenue to ensure profitability. Prepare reports for the restaurant manager regarding performance and financial goals.

Marketing and Promotion:

Help implement marketing strategies to increase customer traffic and sales. Assist in creating special promotions or events to attract customers.

Compliance and Safety:

Ensure that restaurant staff follows proper food safety and sanitation practices. Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to restaurant operations.
