Key Responsibilities
Branch Operations:
Oversee and manage the daily operations of the bank branch, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently, especially when the Bank Manager is unavailable.
Staff Supervision:
Lead and support the branch staff, including cashiers and tellers, by providing guidance, training, performance evaluations, and potentially assisting with hiring.
Customer Service:
Handle customer inquiries, process transactions, and resolve complex or difficult client issues, ensuring a welcoming and positive atmosphere.
Sales & Growth:
Actively participate in sales activities, promote the bank's products and services to existing and new customers, and work to achieve sales targets.
Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure the branch operates in compliance with all federal, state, and bank policies and regulations, and maintain internal controls.
Cash Management:
Oversee and ensure the correct reconciliation of cash and other financial transactions within the branch.
Typical Skills & Qualifications
Experience:
Several years of banking, retail, or management experience is often required.
Education:
A high school diploma is a minimum requirement, though many employers prefer or require a bachelor's degree in finance or a related field.
