Opportunity for a commercially orientated Data Management & Analytics, with focus on global oil, metal and freight movement, to join our Energy Markets team. In this role you will use your data management & analytical skills to help take our trading desk capabilities to the next level. You'll get to work in a vibrant global environment, partnering closely with traders and analysts based in the UK, the US, Australia and Singapore, as well as providing time zone coverage of the US and European markets. You'll be assisting members of the trading team with day to day procedures and operations, providing analytical support and assisting with the trading & analytical process. You'll also have the opportunity to build and improve your knowledge and skills to develop analytical models to improve the team's trading capabilities. To be successful in this role, you'll have Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or a quantitative discipline. In addition, you'll bring 1-3 years of professional experience. Any Background in petroleum, metals, freight trading, chemical analysis, agriculture, refining markets and practical working knowledge of refinery operations is an added advantage. You will display proficiency in MS Office, MS Excel and other relevant data management tools. You'll have the ability to work within a fast-paced environment, be resourceful and demonstrate strong data management skills. Good geographical knowledge paired with an understanding of global oil, metals and agriculture movement routes as well as knowledge of Power BI and Python will be an added advantage.
