Key Responsibilities
1 Planning Prepare the Annual Plan for the Corporate Communication function on the basis of defined Corporate Strategy and launches as per the timelines shared by Product Sales and Marketing Determine the key focus areas for the year Prepare annual budget on the basis of the Communication Plan Undertake planning forecasting and tracking of expenditures within the budget allotted Monitor budgets and take corrective actions incase of discrepancies Performance Metrics Timely approval of plan by senior management Performance against budge 2 Corporate Brand Development Liaise with senior management to help identify positioning of the brand basis organization s strategy and way forward Develop and deliver this corporate branding strategy Drive the development and promotion of Tata Communications brand image and identity using communication channels such as new media social media etc Drive development of corporate image guidelines to ensure consistency in internal and external communication Performance Metrics Press coverage Brand equity recall 3 Corporate Communication Lead and deliver on the communication strategy including aspects such as key messaging communication channels and target audience Support the Leadership team in preparing external communication Develop the messaging and media presentation Developing the other supporting documents such as FAQs briefing documents etc Drive the media training for all spokespersons and brief them on the corporate messaging Develop and repackage the BU product specific communication to maintain consistency with the overall company Review performance against communication strategy and discuss course corrections basis internal external audience feedback Performance Metrics Performance against budget Feedback from target audience Compliance to communication guidelines 4 Media Analyst Relations Develop and deliver a coherent media and analyst relations strategy Act as a spokesperson for external communication Build key relationships in global media Print TV Online and Analyst space Conduct regular briefings for the analysts to inform them about the on going company events Analyse Media landscape identify and expand global database track competitor activities and critically evaluate media and analyst reports Performance Metrics Visibility in Media and Analysts 5 Team Development Regularly review team purpose direction and structure and assess talent requirements participate in the recruitment and selection process conduct goal setting and performance review for the team drive team development engagement and reward initiatives coach and mentor team members as required and ensure resolution of any people issues Performance Metrics Team engagement voluntary attrition Manpower cost and productivity
