Job Role

Programme \xe2\x80\x9cAspire\xe2\x80\x9d is a multi-year investment programme to transform Finance to a global target model. This involves investment to replace the infrastructure, and move to a more centralised, standardised, and automated business model. This will enable faster processing, easier and more frequent access to information, at lower levels of cost.

As part of this programme, SCB is currently undergoing a comprehensive transformation which includes developing a new organisational and operational approach to Finance.

The core of Aspire requires a modern technology infrastructure and data capability - SAP has been selected for Finance and Supply Chain (S/4 HANA and Ariba); SAP for the unified data store (Finance and Risk Data Platform - FRDP); and the upgraded Moody\xe2\x80\x99s platform (Risk Confidence) for specific Treasury applications. It will result in a cloud-based single instance general ledger and a detailed, granular data store that is shared with the Risk function.

This will enable faster monthly close and daily reporting, centralised regulatory reporting capability, self-service MIS, and automated controls.

The Change Analyst will be a member of the Aspire Business Integration Subledger Implementation team. They will be responsible for the development of change and enablement materials to ensure a successful subledger end user adoption.

Key Responsibilities

The Business Analyst will

  • Engage and follow up with key stakeholders to understand their current pain points and consolidate for the current state assessment diagnostics.
  • Propose initial mitigation actions for each pain point raised based on the scope and capabilities of the Aspire Subledger Implementation project.
  • Determine end user business impact and prepare the diagnostics summary and impact assessment report for key stakeholders.
  • Manage dashboards and trackers; weekly Data Factory MT materials, regional change champion tracker and Business Integration action tracker.
  • Develop user stories and update sprint plans in JIRA for the Business Integration team across each TP system based on defined EPICS.
  • Facilitate key stakeholder engagements and develop communication materials.
  • Build effective communication channels with wider senior finance leadership.
  • High quality written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to focus on multiple initiatives and subjects at the same time.
The role requires very strong Business Analysis, Change and Project management. Good communication skills and the ability to engage with senior leaders within Finance is also a must, the role will be reporting into the Aspire Core Finance Change Lead but will also have direct engagement with Aspire Core Finance Work Stream Leads, GPO\xe2\x80\x99s and senior Aspire MT.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 12 - 15 years of experience in Change Management in the Banking and Financial Services.
  • Experience in managing the reporting process and systems of a sub ledger environment (preferably with SAP technology).
  • Business analyst mindset with an extensive track record in solving problems and troubleshooting issues.
  • Previous exposure to defining and implementation of strategic target operating model within the financial services sector.
  • General understanding of numerous Finance areas including regulatory reporting and Treasury.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and collaborative mindset.
  • Exposure to cross-border cost accounting best practices.
  • Product Knowledge across domains from Retail Finance.
