Siemens Advanta (Chennai) is looking for experienced Test Engineer to test Firmware/OS Software for their Ruggedcom Industrial Communication equipment. The ideal teammate should be a technical expert, flexible, possess a strong work ethic and can lead testing effort. What are my Job Responsibilities?

• Designing the control applications for microgrids & renewables integration to deliver solutions for a sustainable energy transition.
• Working with end customers to influence the development of the specifications integrating Siemens solutions into the customer requirements.
• Translating customer requirements and basic concepts into solutions that meet and exceed the client\'s expectations.
• Taking ownership of the design choices with the related functional and financial impact. Further developing of the technical relationship with end-clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Supporting the sales organization and regional Siemens entities to enable the further development of global named accounts and opportunities.
• Developing close relationships with Siemens (international) operating capture and execution teams.

What do I need to be Eligible for this Role?

• At least 5-7 years of experience in energy and power automation & control as well as power engineering, generation & transmission.
• Experience in the design of communication infrastructure concepts including knowledge about most common communication protocols.
• Detailed knowledge about design & integration of DERs with special focus on control applications for their integration into medium and high voltage grids.
• Experience in developing overall solutions in the environment of microgrids & DERs in integrating different energy sources like Solar PV, Wind, battery storage, CHP etc., in industrial and infrastructure applications.
• A deep understanding of technical requirements for control applications in renewable plants & microgrids.
• Detailed knowledge of different generation assets like Solar PV, Wind turbines, Diesel generators, CHP, battery storage and associated equipment like inverters & batteries.
• Basic Knowledge of network design and calculation.
• Communication technology knowledge (hardware, protocols, architecture development)
• Demonstrate ability to communicate, present and influence key technical stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
• Proven ability to juggle multiple projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
• You are eager and energetic, using your skills and initiative to seek out opportunity instead of waiting for it to come to you.
• You have the resilience and determination to nurture short and long design cycles.
• A special interest in interface management and creativity to think beyond the industry standards / practices.
• A flexible attitude and willingness to travel.
