Details
Operating System _Interface with other technology groups in issue / performance resolution _Explain problem statement and reason for suspecting neighbouring / hosting environment/technology/product, associate in testing, isolating till resolution _Platform management Service Improvement - Evaluate business 20 platform requests for new features or changes - Security compliance, assist with oversight of Security Exceptions, Remediation Plans and Vulnerabilities - Assist with planning for license and maintenance renewals, license models and vendor commercials Database Management _Configure basic statistics and take statistics report. _Write structured query language (sql) _Create and configure database on any OS platform _Start and shut down database instance(s) _Analyze Trace files _Independently troubleshoot any issues with the database connect strings and configurations. _Rectify/fine tune DB related OS scripts. _Administer and alter set security and auditing parameters. High Availability _Identify issue by tracing alert log, trace files etc. _Initiate cluster, failsafe, load balance when needed _Troubleshoot high availability known issues with minimal guidance _Work with OEM and other support group in restoring services and resolving issues _Configure and troubleshoot Replication and Always on Enterprise Management Tools - Native _Handle database console issues _Perform Backup/Recover & Performance Tuning _Configure DB console on any OS platform. _Manage Citrix XenMobile: Mobile Application Management (MAM), Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Microsoft Intune platforms Backup/Recovery _Perform back up / recovery independently _Isolate issues related to back up / recovery performances issues around I/O,, Application, Memory parameters etc. _Perform point-in-time / full recovery model _Configure STATSPACK for different levels of snapshots and analyze the report to identify various performance bottlenecks like I/O, application, Memory Parameters etc. Database Migration/Upgradation _Performing database migrations at the Test/QA/Dev Environments _Running various data migration tools Performance Tuning _Troubleshooting using AWR and ASH reports _Manage locks, latches, enqueues, predominant wait events PL-SQL Scripting _Research and analyze defects and suggest fixes by understanding business _Trouble shooting issues and validating test cases _Review, evaluate and document changes being introduced to production to prevent issues of customer facing applications _Work on UNIX platform and tweak the shell scripts as & when required _Monitoring Clustered SQL. _Rectify/fine tune existing DB related OS scripts.
