Job Description


Purpose The Associate Project Manager (APM) - Automation & Transformation will work on a project basis for Sanofi GBUs. He/she will be responsible for providing project management expertise and support on pre-defined projects. Examples include process-improvement, automations, transformation projects and coordinate for GBU transformation road map. The APM will set and develop the operational aspects of the project, develop, and monitor timelines, milestones and project metrics and is responsible for managing the projects from an operational perspective from the development and initiation phases through implementation and completion within scope defined by the GBU, who remains responsible and accountable for the project content. Perform key projects tasks to ensure the progress, such as: create the business requirement document or ensure the required documents are completed, ensure necessary approval steps are completed, manage documents on the relevant platform, follow-up with key stakeholders and report the progress Play a key role in stakeholder management and will be responsible for ensuring appropriate use of communication channels to proactively engage with internal and external teams. Responsible for developing detailed project plans incl. project metrics and communication plan for medium or high complexity Present project overview and status at stakeholder meetings. Performance Standards: Duties & Responsibilities People Seek alignment with team members and key stakeholders to ensure timely and quick transition between every project step in line with approved processes and corresponding SOPs Support team initiatives and objectives, identify and recommend process improvements, automations and other value-added initiatives. Performance indicators Feedback from stakeholders on overall satisfaction 15% Performance Effective and efficient management of assigned projects so as to complete projects on time and, where applicable, on budget. Effective management of multiple projects in parallel Performance Indicators Adherence to timeline Adherence to quality target 15% Process Develop strong understanding of the ways of working and associated deliverables meeting stakeholder expectations Drive effective collaboration with stakeholders to understand their requirements and to propose solutions in-line with their expectations for automation and transformation projects Responsible for project planning, executing and closure on time, within scope, and according to plan within the requested quality specifications Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business practices and corresponding SOPs to improve the project processes Uses broad knowledge of project management techniques and methods, and discernment to decide the most appropriate techniques and methods for each project Drives project governance meetings with various stakeholders, vendors and digital team etc. and execute effective coordination to track and monitor the progress of the projects Ability to work independently to deliver on the assigned tasks with ownership and delivering as per the requirements Performance Indicators Adherence to timeline Feedback from stakeholders (end customers) on satisfaction with services provided 55% Stakeholders Performance indicators Builds and maintains solid partnerships with assigned internal stakeholders to better develop, coordinate, direct, and facilitate internal work and communications Feedback from stakeholders (end customers) on overall satisfaction 15% Pre-requisites Knowledge of advanced excel, Power Bi, Power apps, VBA, Tableau, Python, RPA. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English Excellent organizational and project management skills and ability to meet deadlines Stakeholder management (Diplomatic, Intercultural sensitivity, effective leadership on peer-to-peer level) Rigorous and able to deal with ambiguity and conflicting priorities Experience of working in a matrix organization, able to coordinate and facilitate execution of tasks with multiple stakeholders involved Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills Literate with MS office (including Teams, SharePoint), project management tools such as Smartsheet. Postgraduate in any discipline 5 - 8 years of relevant experience with Automation, transformation, project management experience within pharmaceutical industry. PMP certified Knowledge of project planning tools and management science. Management and/or leadership experience is preferred. Proven leadership and ability to coordinate several activities and stakeholders. Ability to network and communicate across diverse functions and to work effectively in a matrix organization. Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations Anticipate risks and propose mitigation plans, ability to propose creative solutions to operational/strategic issues. Influencing skills to motivate team members for best performance and outcomes. Excellent communication skills - written and oral.
