General information:

The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 1500 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The INOPC team at Chennai supports Hitachi Energy\'s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than80 countries.

Your Responsibilities:

Execute project within budget by meeting all KPI\'s (Quality, OTD, Efficiency, Budget)

Design & execute the project in line with customer specification / FACTS standard/Global standards Viz IEC, ANSI, IEEE etc.

Tender execution as per customer/FACTS requirement

Preparation of MACH based control and protection system cubicle design.

Preparation of IED based control and protection system cubicle design.

Preparation of FACTS Plant design drawings (Secondary)

Designing and estimation of Aux. AC & DC power requirements.

Designing of LV, MV Switch boards including battery systems, UPS and Voltage stabilizers.

Estimation & Sizing of LV Aux. power, control cables, communication cables & Indication cables

Purchasing of cubicles, cables, Junction boxes, AC & DC switch boards, MV Switchgear, Battery system, UPS & Voltage stabilizers etc.

Co-ordination with other departments (Mech. / Control / System Design/Commissioning)

Validation of the time schedule (EE Dept.) for a project

Evaluation of sub-supplier and selection as per project requirement

Involving in customer FAT, site installation and commissioning support

Involving in development and supporting activities for continuous process improvements.

Your background:

Bachelors in B.E/ B.tech in Electrical & Electronics or EEE.

Should have 12 -15 years of experience.

Must have experience in Substation Project Execution, Secondary Engineering and Control & Protection Design, EPC Project execution. Commissioning with Protection Relay configuration & Testing experience will be added advantage.

Good to have HVDC or FACTS control & protection design.

Preferred with good spoken & written in english.
