The Opportunity As an Associate Principal at Sattva, you will contribute strongly to the business growth roadmap of the organization by leading initiatives in business development in key emerging markets and stakeholders for Sattva and ensure the scalable and sustainable setup and operations of sales engines that can deliver to targets. You will focus on growth in Foundations and its allied ecosystem with a lens of building and growing collaboratives to solve complex issues through multi-year engagement. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a collaborative and orchestrate multistakeholder engagement around a particular mission:
  • Develop and enable execution of a 10 year vision, 5 year mission and 3 year roadmap to solve for a particular issue across domains like education, healthcare, livelihoods etc
  • Anchor engagement with 10-18 stakeholders including funders, implementation partners, knowledge partners, strategic partners, government to drive collaborative efforts
  • Develop and enable executution of a blueprint for a collaborative to form, storn, norm and perform together over a period of time with a strong fidelity towards the mission
  • Develop and enable execution of relevant frameworks, tools, resources and related evidence to make a business case for collaboratives in the larger social impact ecosystem
  • Scout and facilitate strategic partnerships for the collaborative to scale with the principle of denominator thinking and achievement of vision & mission
  • Lead business development in Foundations and its allied ecosystem:
  • Develop a 3 to 5-year roadmap for building business in Indian and International geographies for Sattva among Foundations and its allied ecosystem with a strong focus on establishing the India and South Asia business in years 1 and 2.
  • Establish business development opportunities in the Foundations and its allied ecosystem space through a combination of market penetration strategies that span thought leadership, marketing, setting up of strategic partnerships to win bids and building strong relationships as measured by value and volume of partnerships and programmes.
  • Harness current networks to widen brand awareness among Foundations and its allied ecosystem in Sattva\xe2\x80\x99s sectors of expertise and areas of growth.
  • Execute on strong Go-To-Market strategies and help establish product-market fit for Sattva\xe2\x80\x99s product offerings to Foundations and its allied ecosystem
  • Develop in-roads into emerging markets in Africa, APAC (especially global south), MENA.
  • Contribute to publishing whitepapers, case studies and research work that can further Sattva\xe2\x80\x99s presence in the above markets.
  • Participate in efforts to strengthen products and service offerings to Foundations and its allied ecosystem within Sattva through L&D, GTM feedback loops and other means.
  • Contribute as part of the leadership team in the Foundations & ML customer unit:
  • Contribute as a member of the senior leadership team at the Foundations stakeholder unit by taking up and operationalizing key initiatives for the growth of the unit and participating actively in collective decision-making.
  • While delivery teams will take the lead in servicing clients in the Foundations and its allied ecosystem your role will be to hold key account management. You will participate in strategic projects and deliver value through stakeholder engagement, guidance to delivery teams, and accessing critical partnerships and networks, toward customer success.
  • Problem Solving:
  • Contribute deep strategic and sector-specific expertise to the team\'s problem-solving
  • Lead structured hypotheses-based, rigorous problem-solving with the team in all engagements
  • Bring in sectoral and stakeholder depth to ensure relevant and actionable solutions are arrived at
  • Contribute to analysis and synthesis of findings to insights as relevant
  • Lead the team to provide strategic and actionable recommendations in all the engagements
  • Delivery Excellence:
  • Take accountability to achieve successful outcomes for the client, project, and social impact that is envisioned for the project through scoping, design, and execution in the stipulated time frame
  • Ensure continuous improvement in delivery excellence for the business unit by putting in place relevant systems and processes for medium to large-sized projects
  • Mentor direct team (consultants, senior consultants and engagement managers) in ensuring delivery excellence for their projects
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Establish credibility through active relationship building and co-creating solutions with the senior management of the client organization and key stakeholders engaged through high levels of sector and functional knowledge, impactful communication, and great performance on deliverables
  • Influence decision-making and action to enable positive and sustainable impact in the stakeholder ecosystem
  • Ensure a high degree of client, people and impact centricity through effective stakeholder management in multi-stakeholder environments.
  • People leadership:
  • Ensure the building and growth of teams through guidance, mentoring and enabling a supportive work environment
  • Build capability in the team on an ongoing basis and support direct reports on their career growth and development
  • Create an enabling environment for the team and embedding of culture with growth
  • Establishing Expertise & Business Leadership:
  • Spot and utilize opportunities for growing the accounts you are managing; also leverage your experience and expertise to follow through on and close new potential deals
  • Contribute to growing revenues through increasing share of work in current accounts, contribution towards opening new accounts through targeted bids
  • Contribute to Foundation Unit\xe2\x80\x99s share of voice building through articles, client communication, and events.
Key qualifications and experience We are looking for individuals who align with our mission of alleviating poverty in our lifetime and have:
  • 12+ years of experience in the education space with a strong technical understanding of model schools, systems strengthening and multi-stakeholder engagements
  • Masters\' degree in public education /development/business or development management
  • Experience in problem-solving, education research and advisory, creating knowledge products, and ecosystem engagement
  • Strong ability to manage national and international clients such as foundations and CSRs
  • Demonstrated experience in government engagement both at the national and state level including managing relationships with Ministry/Department/Bodies including senior IAS officers
  • Knowledge of the development landscape in India and around the world, including an in-depth understanding of the roles of various stakeholders (government, academia, international institutions, foundations, non-profit and corporate organizations).
  • Expertise in designing and implementing advisory projects, data analysis, synthesizing evidence, and building narratives
  • Proven leadership in a high-paced multi-stakeholder client-facing impact organization
  • Experience in solution design/pilot design and scaling interventions in the education space
  • Published written or visual development work in any form or manner
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills (in English) with exceptional attention to detail
  • Appreciation for the need for business sustainability in the impact journey of Sattva
  • Ability to work in an agile and adaptive, entrepreneurial environment
  • Humility, willingness to listen, learn and adapt
  • Willingness to travel
