Job Overview: The Associate Payroll Specialist is responsible for utilizing existing Payroll procedures to solve routine or standard problems. They receive instruction, guidance, and direction from others within the team, and they will leverage their conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures related to Payroll and Finance.



Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for administration of specifically assigned payroll-related activities to include timely and accurate vendor invoice processing; adherence to company policies and procedures; and, promoting a positive payroll team environment
  • Prepare Monthly General Ledger Reconciliation
  • Check and Analyze the Payroll Accounts, Update the GEAC Recon in Blackline System
  • Pay GLI & Job Costing Activity
  • Update time data and pay period adjustments in the payroll system
  • Payroll processing and verification of payroll calculations/payments
  • Coordinate salary transfer to employee\xe2\x80\x99s bank account
  • Respond to employees\xe2\x80\x99 queries on payroll payments
  • Prepare the final statement of terminated employees
  • Month reconciliation of payroll accounts
  • Coordinate monthly deposit of withheld taxes and retirement benefits to respective authorities
  • Prepare annual withholding taxed and retirement benefits returns and submit them to respective authorities
  • Respond to payroll-related queries raised by accounting group/internal and external auditors


Essential Qualifications and Education:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in accounting
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of professional experience
  • High standard of safe working practice, quality, and productivity as well as compliance with the Code of Business Conduct
  • Extensive knowledge of all aspects of payroll processing
  • Can handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality
  • Strong sense of urgency and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work well with a team and support other admins as required
  • Knowledge of business procedures, letter and report formats
  • May require occasional overtime
