Position Purpose

To process, monitor and control transaction processing for Domestic Payments Tax NACH IMPS of BNPP WITH THE OBJECTIVE to facilitate smooth functioning of operations while meeting the Operations Objectives of BNPPISPL for all the sites handled.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities of the team includes:

  • Settlement of TAX, NACH, IMPS transactions and associated products in a timely and cost effective manner
  • Timely resolution of Nostro and depot breaks
  • Mitigation of operational and reputational risk by escalating in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure adherence to internal guidelines, compliance, screening, legal and regulatory aspects by the team members.
Key Responsibilities:

\xc2\xb7 Processing of various type of taxes on behalf of clients (Direct tax-TDS/TCS, advance tax, GST, custom duty, Professional tax, state tax, VAT, CST etc.)

\xc2\xb7 Processing of various type of NACH products like Debit Outward, Debit Inward, Credit Inward & Credit Outward

\xc2\xb7 Processing of Inward IMPS reconciliation file & commission entry posting to P&L account

\xc2\xb7 Recovery of charges from client for various products

\xc2\xb7 Reconciliation of different GL such as RBI current account, Tax corrbank account etc.

\xc2\xb7 MIS preparation & reporting to various stake holders

\xc2\xb7 Weekend support(rotation basis) for NACH product (Credit Inward & Debit Inward)

\xc2\xb7 BCP testing

\xc2\xb7 Ereporting setup & remitter master updation

\xc2\xb7 Vendor bill processing for cash pickup & delivery, cheque stationery printing etc.

\xc2\xb7 To provide our best customer services and support to both our internal and external customers

\xc2\xb7 To initiate new ideas / workflows in order to streamline our operations and improve control

\xc2\xb7 To ensure appropriate escalation to managers as soon as an issue is identified.

\xc2\xb7 To follow properly the internal operational procedure and guidelines of the bank.

\xc2\xb7 Perform UAT for new system, processes and provide operational support for new product launched

\xc2\xb7 Contribute to the minimisation of settlement costs & operational risk:

\xc2\xb7 By becoming more risk aware and by following the procedures or Compliance rules that are in place to mitigate operational or reputational risk

\xc2\xb7 By seeking to improve STP rates at our custodians so reducing cost, by updating static data as and when necessary

\xc2\xb7 By reducing the number of manual instructions sent to agents therefore reducing cost, manual intervention and settlement risk according to Compliance rules

\xc2\xb7 If necessary, using the escalation process when operational risk is detected

Direct Responsibilities

1. OPERATIONS RISK MANAGEMENT: Maintain control over outstanding and unreconciled entries. Implement and monitor control plans and pay attention to risk related areas in operations.

2. COMPLIANCE: Ensure adherence to internal guidelines, compliance, screening, legal and regulatory aspects by the team members.

3. TEAM SUPERVISION &TRAINING: Monitor the performance of the Team members. Provide Training support wherever needed.

Contributing Responsibilities

1. OPC: Contribute to the Operations Permanent Control framework

2. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Monitor turnaround times, and operational efficiency. Resolve customer complaints and queries.

3. CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT: Support MO to address ultimate client needs and resolve customer complaints if any.

4. INFORMATION MANAGEMENT: Supervise preparation and submission of MIS and reports to management as required and disseminate information to the Team.

\xc2\xb7 \xe2\x80\x9cAnti-Money Laundering / Financial Sanctions (\xe2\x80\x9cAML/FS\xe2\x80\x9d) related duties: Operations are an integral part of the control framework including for AML/FS topics. In that respect, in performing your role you are expected to ensure adherence to AML/FS-related Group Policies and execution of associated operational controls, and to promptly escalate any resulting hit for analysis and decision to the relevant authority.\xe2\x80\x9d
