Job Description

BUSINESS OVERVIEW:

Global Spread Products, Financing & Securitization covers Securitization, Project & Infrastructure Finance and Transportation. We execute transactions for corporate, financial and sponsor clients in various formats, including in the bank loan market as well as institutional capital markets (Reg S/144A, private placement bond and institutional loans). Our business also owns a securitized lending and project & infrastructure lending program totaling $4 billion in commitments which we use to originate, underwrite and participate in financings for select clients across the Asia-Pacific region.

Within our Securitization business, we focus on the origination and structuring of securitization transactions across a variety of different sectors, with a heavy focus on specialty finance and fintech companies across the region in both emerging and developed markets. In our Project & Infrastructure Finance business, we work with corporate and sponsor owners of infrastructure assets across the power, oil & gas, transportation infrastructure sectors. We develop and improve financing structures that provide value-add for asset owners often increasing project returns by extending duration, optimising leverage and amortization profiles, then advise on the most efficient market of execution to implement the structure.

Our transactions generally involve a material level of structuring which considers credit/ratings, hedging, accounting, tax and regulatory capital considerations to deliver value-added asset based financing solutions to clients. Our team members develop strong quantitative (including modelling), credit, sector, legal structuring skills and are involved from a junior level in client and investor engagement. Key geographies of focus include India, Greater China, South East Asia, Korea and Australia. Similar to other capital markets businesses, we work closely with coverage and industry bankers as well as with investor sales and coverage teams.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Analyst/Associate working within the team will be required to:

Prepare client presentation materials

Compile, analyse and assimilate financial information

Be proficient at working with financial models

Prepare internal credit applications/memos

Become familiar with the standard fixed income offering processes and asset based deal execution principles and processes

Become familiar with asset based structuring and rating principles

Play a fundamental role in deal origination and execution

Be confident and mature enough to interact with clients and transaction 3rd parties with guidance from seniors

Understand the concepts of the global financial markets, and how this impacts advice we provide clients

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

To excel in this role, you must be a results-oriented, numerate individual with strong written and oral communications skills and attention to detail. More importantly, you must have a strong desire to develop a sound understanding of the industry and the environment.

You are expected to have the confidence and credibility to build relationships with clients and investors using your communication skills and demonstrated knowledge. You also need to exhibit flexibility, adaptability, and resilience to work in a challenging environment, and can work under pressure on multiple projects.

KEY COMPETENCIES / QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

3-5 years of relevant experience

Master's degree in Business Administration

Strong numerical, analytical skills and command over English language

Competent Word, Power Point and Excel skills

Willingness to learn, initiative and self-starter attitude

Time management, multi-tasking, attention to detail and teamwork
