Role: Associate Engineering Location: Hyderabad, India The Salesforce Business Technology (BT) team is looking for talented Engineers who will be instrumental in transforming how BT computing services are leveraged to support company growth. This role will involve driving strategy, architecture, roadmaps, and execution of projects that will enable Salesforce to continue as the model for cloud BT infrastructure services. Role Description: As an Engineering at Salesforce, you will be part of a dynamic global team delivering and supporting technology infrastructure to meet the growth needs of the business. You will be involved in projects that will optimize current services as well as work on building next generation infrastructure or platform for the global production environment. You will collaborate with the Engineering and Development teams to ensure the designed service is fully operational with streamlined processes and procedures for ongoing support and maintenance. Your Impact:

• Delivery of programmable infrastructure (Infrastructure as Code) and automation/orchestration of Infra workloads and deployments such as network, security, server, IAM, OS, database and applications.
• Hands on working knowledge on implementing continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) for Infrastructure as Code.
• Collaborate with peers and partners in the execution of use cases and reference architectures, proof of concepts

Competencies:

• BS in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field
• Strong programming skills in Python / Java / Bash scripting
• Exceptional research skills and resourcefulness, Strong analytical & technical problem solving skills, with an ability to troubleshoot complex issues
• Willingness to learn and master unfamiliar technologies and/or concepts
• Excellent spoken and written communication as well as receptive listening skills, with ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise and open manner to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proactive and forward thinking attitude and creative problem solving ability
• Excellent team player able to work with virtual and global cross functional teams
• Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, Open to change and flexible in a fast paced environment. Effectively adapts own approach to suit changing circumstances or requirements. Preferred Technical Competencies:

• Public Cloud: Comprehensive experience with AWS technologies including a solid understanding of S3, EBS, EC2, ECS, EKS, ELB/ALB, IAM, VPC, CloudTrail, and CloudWatch, KMS, Secrets Manager, Parameter Stores, Route53, Cert Manager
• Network: Knowledge of networking fundamentals and network requirements for a hybrid cloud environment and Understanding of TCP/IP Protocols, OSI Model, Routing Algorithms ( BGP, OSPF), Switching , Virtual Private Network
• SRE: Experience with log management, including aggregation, alerting, and graphing (i.e Grafana, ELK)
• Systems: Good understanding of Unix Technologies like Linux, Cent OS. Knowledge on docker and containerised concepts
• Database: Good understanding of Database architecture and RDBMS concepts
