Position Brand Description:
The LCCI Global Procurement (GP) Associate position will provide services to the dynamic activities within the Procurement environment. This role will primarily support Global Procurement Associates who are focused on Global Logistics activities such as:

  • Carrier Maintenance on transportation lane (creation/maintenance)
  • Set up freight agreement terms in TMS and ensure contract data quality
  • Ensure calculation sheets are set up and accurate
  • Work with vendors on the rate table set up
  • Align vendor inputs specific to TMS needs and work with IT as needed
  • Make updates in TMS tool from sourcing events
  • Manage the transactional work to ensure exceptions are assessed, documented, and approved

The role requires the LCCI GP Associate to work closely with Global Procurement Sourcing and Global Logistics teams to improve and streamline on the activities above as this process is new and an evolving need. Opportunities for improvement exist in both process and identification of cost improvement with the carriers through the comparative analysis of the data.
Key Objectives/Deliverables:
  • Provide tactical support to Global Procurement around the rates management by focusing on the processes and tools utilized to capture the logistics rates globally for our various transportation modes.
  • Propose solutions to identified issues and monitor and drive improvements for issues that develop through the implementation of the TMS tool.
  • This role supports Global Procurement but all activities are related to Global Logistics. So, the experiences will serve well for potential for other Global Logistics opportunities over time.
  • Establish planning needs to enable the appropriate cadence with supplier rate reviews, sourcing events, and market conditions to permit better tracking of market pricing across the entire network.
  • Continually review the rates for consistency and completeness across the entire supplier category for opportunities at the sites or regions.
  • Complete rates managements tasks that the GP Associate need through regular and ad hoc needs.
  • Create, review and streamline/improve reports utilized by the Global Procurement regarding our transportation spend making our sourcing reporting more relevant, robust, usable, and valued.
  • Support procurement and business process activities that involve outputs from TMS tool to support various business process needs.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs Dashboards for the GSC organization and manufacturing sites on power BI
  • Provide assistance, as needed, to other GSC activities within LCCI. This may include transportation visibility, inventory analysis, logistics costs, master data tools, etc.

Main Requirements
  • Experience in procurement and buying related activities
  • Expertise in SAP and associated manufacturing and planning systems
  • Systems Use/Knowledge – Strong computer-based skills. Foundational understanding of Microsoft Office programs required, including capability to use spreadsheets for data analysis. Information reporting systems experience (i.e. Business Objects) preferred. Strong knowledge of O365 SharePoint and PowerBi desired.
  • Communication - Good written and oral communication skills. Ability to summarize and present complex data.
  • General business skills – Business savvy, strong people relationships, flexible and adaptable, able to deal with ambiguity. Strong self-management and organizational skills. High attention to detail and ability to analyze complex data sets. Collaborate effectively with Supply Chain Consultants, Manufacturing sites, and key affiliates.
  • Demonstrate global awareness and be willing to work globally among different time zones. Bilingual preferred.
  • Prefer 3-5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience. Procurement experience preferred.
