About the department The Commercial & Corporate Affairs - Global Business Services (CCA GBS) unit is responsible for driving deliverables for multiple Corporate Vice President (CVP) areas, including Sustainability, Patient Access, Marketing, Commercial Planning, Content hub and, Insulin, GLP-1 and Obesity Marketing. In the Sustainability team, we are focussed on integrating the sustainability strategy into different areas of the organisation. The team is responsible for devising and driving the ESG strategy of the organisation, finding solutions towards minimising the environmental impact, driving key E, S & G reporting processes, forecasting environmental metrics and performance among other key strategic activities. The position As we embark upon this journey with a high focus on Sustainability, it is very important that we at Novo Nordisk make strategies that consider the evolving sustainability landscape around us to understand the present and upcoming trends in the field, collect and analyse the information, evaluate risks and opportunities, and synthesise this information in a concise manner. As an Associate Manager - Sustainability Strategy & reporting, Sustainability team, you will be responsible for - Leading the team responsible for driving Sustainability strategy & reporting activities in the Corporate Accounting, International Operations and Product Supply teams. Responsible for partnering and creating strategic insights and developing internal capabilities to drive Sustainability ambition across different functions of the organisation. Strong leadership, strategic outlook, commercial perspective, and ability to collaborate across organisational boundaries both in HQ and in Regions, Business Areas & affiliates. Manage team by hiring the right talent and develop the internal talent as well to further collaborate with business. Ensure continuous innovation and optimize productivity by integrating and developing new tools & bring external perspective and ensure it is integrated with Sustainability, GBS approaches. Qualifications Master\'s degree within sustainability/ life sciences/ business administration/ social sciences. At least six years of experience working in a pharmaceutical company/ consultancy/ other relevant corporate setting. People management experience preferred exhibiting the following competencies: Sustainability strategy & reporting Leadership. Planning & organisation. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and numeracy skills, having an inquisitive mind with the ability to understand and interpret complex ESG topics. Quality mind-set. Proficiency in English language skills, written and spoken. Collaborative and energised by teamwork. Highly empathic and sensitive to the professional perspectives of other stakeholders. Excellent communication skills and ability to present insights in a compelling and easily digestible manner. Strong stakeholder management skills.
