Job Title: Middle Office (MO) Associate Manager

Shift: EU Shift

Shift allowance: NA

Level: To be assessed by HR & Hiring Manager.

Key Consideration factors: 4-5 years of relevant experience in MO process, complexities of process handled in the past & number of years people management experience.

Location: Mohali, Chandigarh, India

Job Purpose: The Candidate is responsible for support to Middle Office (MO) function in managing/performing daily risk position , daily PnL reporting, Future/option reconciliation, FX reporting , MTM on month end & Balance sheet Reconciliations etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily risk positions and explaining the variance.
  • Responsible for review & posting of Future/Option in SAP based on the trade happened in exchange.
  • Preparing the daily reconciliation of Unrealized/realized MTM on Futures/options.
  • Perform daily reconciliation with Trader PnL.
  • Preparing the daily PnL based on the market price movements.
  • Perform the FX reporting to hedge the currency risk.
  • Reconciliation of Balance sheet accounts in One Stream.
  • Preparing different types of risk reports, e.g. Freight exposure etc. for senior leadership.
  • Perform the MTM calculation on month end.
  • Posting the MTM in SAP on Month end.
  • Responsible for reconciling the Intercompany MTM with other Bunge entities on month end,
  • Complying with Sarbanes Oxley Standards
  • Ensure the internal finance controls, procedures in place and in compliance with company policies
  • Preparing the MTM adjustments and sharing with Trade accountants to post.
  • Identify & resolve mismatches in IC balances with counterparties
  • Preparing and updating process documentation and to keep up to date all the time
  • Liaising with auditors (Internal and external) and responding to their queries.
Additional responsibilities:
  • Resolve queries within defined timelines
  • Review and support Officers in Accounting & Reporting activities
  • Provide reports and run queries to assist Traders in period end closing process.
  • Identify ideas for process improvement utilizing industry leading practices.
  • Handle exceptions generated, perform root cause analysis to resolve current issues and act proactively to avert potential issues in future.
  • Provide all information, documents and reports for audit. Post the audit; take steps as per corrective action plan drafted by the Management.
  • File and archive relevant documents.
  • Monitoring & adherence of time limit for daily / weekly/ monthly activities.
  • Experience in handling team and solving issues.
  • Adoptability with new changes time to time as suggested by the Management.
  • Provide support to Middle Office team in daily / weekly and monthly activities.
Required:
  • 4-5 years of work experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in Agribusiness/Commodity trading industry preferred.
  • Minimum Education Qualification - C.A. / CMA / FRM / CFA / MBA will be preferred.
  • Good knowledge of concepts and procedures related to Mark to Market, Options, Futures, Hedging, Intercompany and Risk Positions.
  • Ability to provide high quality level of customer service for MTM, Intercompany and other reporting activities.
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently and deliver high quality output under time pressure and support to team for providing required results on time.
  • Independent and meticulous with figures.
  • Strong communication & Interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal/external teams across the Globe.
  • Strong problem solving & organization skills.
  • Develop knowledge of the business, Accounting systems, Reconciliation policy, Finance Control standards and Quality Framework and ensure compliance with these
  • Experience in managing people and processes through a sustained period of change
  • Excellent computer skills and competency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience in ERP/ Accounting systems (SAP) will be added advantage.
  • Strong Team mentor and encourage team to achieve organization objectives on time.
Distinct Advantage:
  • Experience working in a similar Shared Services Centre setup a distinct advantage.
  • Experience in SAP.
  • Flexibility to work in different time zones.
