Job Description

Role Summary: - An ideal candidate is someone who has worked in the legal / compliance department of a corporate house or a law firm and has spent some 2 - 3 years dealing with data privacy issues / laws.

Responsibilities: * Establish, Implements, maintain privacy policies, procedures and controls for the company, and continually ensures that the company\'s policies and procedures comply with applicable laws & regulation.

• Understand the principles of data privacy laws and is well versed with data privacy law of Europe (GDPR) and Indian laws around data privacy including Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.
• Maintain a privacy risk register and conduct periodic risk assessments.
• Design and run an incidence response plan in the event of an unauthorised disclosure of customer and employee data as well as confidential information. Recommend preventive and corrective action plans for the gaps. If any.
• Prepare guidelines for Data Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) for any new projects, vendor engagements.
• Administers delivery of training on privacy policies and procedures to all employees and maintain documentation of all training provided.
• Remain updated of the industry trends and updates on data privacy & information security issues and topics.
• Good exposure on end-to-end contract management like drafting, reviewing, updating the contract along with negotiation.
• Review contracts and strengthen the provisions on data privacy.
• Compliance of Policies (Anti bribery, Gift & hospitality, Code of conduct, Anti-Trust etc. ) and impart appropriate training to employees.

Prerequisites:

• Qualification - LLB / LLM from a good law university of repute.
• Preferred - any certification course around data privacy.
