Job Description


Overview: Lead a team of Design and Production Support Engineers for Liferaft projects. Position: Associate Manager (M3) Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leads Liferaft design and production support engineers
  • Manages design, drafting and testing activities to ensure smooth and effective operations
  • Works with Operations team and US customers
  • Develops budgets and estimates labor and material costs to ensure cost effectiveness of design activities.
  • Guides and directs the preparation of new or revised designs, drawings and working plans to improve Liferaft design and facilitate manufacturing operations.
  • Interfaces with functional departments in preparing work schedules
  • Provides technical guidance and assists in training engineers to help them solve problems and build capabilities
  • Encourages best practices and fosters cross-departmental collaboration
  • Participates in Engineering Change Management Process
  • Ability to read, understand and create technical drawings, sketches (software Creo , Keycreator/Autocad)
  • Tools/fixtures design and fabrication.
  • Experience on Inflatable Design (desired)
  • Experience on CI \xe2\x80\x93 Lean and/or 6 sigma / Root Cause Analysis (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office \xe2\x80\x93 Word, Excel, and Presentation
  • Communicates with business units in USA (effective written and verbal communication is required for the purpose of achieving successful job performance)
  • Interpersonal skill to work with cross functional team
  • Attention to details to ensure high quality work to customers
Basic Qualifications:
  • 7 to 9 years of Industry experience with experience in New Product Development / Manufacturing / Project Engineering
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Master\'s Degree in Mechanical Design /Manufacturing / Production Engineering
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in managing small team including mentoring and training new joiners
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Mechanical Design / Manufacturing Process/ Project Engineering
  • Knowledge on machine design, materials, and manufacturing processes
  • Ability to manage project/s independently (work allocation, resource & schedule management)
