This role supports PSI\'s legal needs in India with a primary focus on contracts related to clinical research. As an Associate Legal Counsel you will work closely with PSI\'s global legal team as well as with local and international project teams to determine appropriate terms and conditions of contracts and to provide legal advice and support.

Office based position. Location: Bangalore.

Your role will include:

  • Review, draft and negotiate contracts and other legal documents relating to clinical research for India
  • Adapt company contract templates to the requirements of clients, hospitals, investigators, medical specialists and vendors
  • Prepare, review and draft corporate documents
  • Advise on employment and data protection matters
  • Provide legal advice and support within the Legal department regarding local legal matters
  • Provide legal support cross-functionally to PSI departments
  • Develop, review and ensure compliance with PSI policies, procedures and instructions
  • Identify and research various legal issues and assess their impact on business
  • Assist in any other legal matters
Qualifications
  • Law degree, with sound knowledge of contract and corporate law
  • Mininum 4 years of experience in an international commercial legal practice (law firm or in-house position), ideally with exposure to the pharmaceutical sector
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to data protection, labor law, as well as clinical trial regulations
  • Ability to negotiate at all levels
  • Ability to work accurately with strong attention to detail
  • Legal contract drafting skills
  • Organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and work efficiently under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently but also within a team
  • Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office package, in particular MS Word
  • Fluency in English, oral and written
