The Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer Managed Services will be responsible for providing ongoing support and management of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments for our clients. This includes monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing updates and patches as needed. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Microsoft Azure, Azure Virtual Desktop, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), and Microsoft 365, as well as experience providing managed services in a client-facing role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing support and management of Azure Virtual Desktop environments for clients
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise
  • Implement updates and patches to keep AVD environments up-to-date
  • Manage virtual machines and user profiles in the AVD environment
  • Configure and manage remote access to AVD environment
  • Develop and implement security policies for AVD environment
  • Provide end-user support for AVD environment
  • Develop and maintain documentation for AVD environment and procedures
  • Should Know how to manage FSLogix on Azure Virtual Desktop
  • Applying security best practices to Azure Virtual Desktop settings, such as multi-factor authentication, encryption, and network security measures, to defend against unauthorized access and data breaches. Knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Cloud is an added advantage.
  • Monitoring resource usage, monitoring costs, and optimizing the Azure Virtual Desktop infrastructure to ensure optimal resource utilization and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience managing VDI environments, preferably with Azure Virtual Desktop
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), and Microsoft 365
  • Experience providing managed services in a client-facing role
  • Experience with Automation using PowerShell scripting or CLI
  • Experience with security best practices and implementing security policies
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microsoft Azure certifications, such as AZ-104, AZ-500, or similar
  • Citrix certifications, such as CCP-V or CCE-V
  • Experience with Windows Virtual Desktop
  • Experience with managing large-scale AVD deployments
