You Are:

Candidate should have working knowledge of Agile PDM system, understand NPI process to support Layout Engineers and Manufacturing program managers.Also should have basic understanding of DFM/DFA.

The Opportunity:

1. Working knowledge of the Agile PDM system - ECO/MCO/RFQ and POR processes

2. Understand NPI process to support Layout Engineers and Manufacturing Program Managers

3. DFM/DFA Basic knowledge

4. CamCad - import/export and analysis of Gerber layers (PCB designs).

5. Participation in technical requirement reviews.

What you need: * Working knowledge of the Agile PDM system - ECO/MCO/RFQ and POR processes

• Know where to get the system requirements for a project.
• Understand BOM hierarchy, AVL maintenance, Standard JOBs, Quotation templates and Purchasing processes.
• Understand product lifecycles and revision control/parent and child relationship.
• Be conscious when phase gate reviews are due and occur.
• Able to generate Agile custom reports and generate metrics in Office tools (Excel, Power BI)
• Understand NPI process to support Layout Engineers and Manufacturing Program Managers

• Understand all aspects of product lifecycle, from design to manufacturing.
• B.At least 3 years as demonstrable experience in Process, Product or Manufacturing Engineering at Contract Manufacturers (EMS, PCB Shop, ODM, etc.)
• Interaction with new technology (Roadmap) projects and controlled builds made in Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS)
• Leadership in NPI process as engineering role.
• DFM/DFA Basic knowledge

• Understand complete PCB Manufacturing process
• Be conscious with Assembly processes at EMS.
• Know DFM terminology and DFM / DFA rules.
• Interpretation of PCB supplier capabilities.
• Understanding of IPC standards- IPC-A-600, 610, 601X, 222X, 410X etc.
• Working with component engineers to adjust footprints for manufacturing if needed.
• Experience responding engineering questions from pcb suppliers.
• Software for DFM / DFA analysis is a plus.
• CamCad - import/export and analysis of Gerber layers (PCB designs).

• Manage Gerber viewers importing data for layout reviews.
• Be able to measure, manipulate layers, check footprints to review layout source.
• Understand PCB stackups from a top down perspective.
• Identify defects during proto builds.
• Participation in technical requirement reviews.

• Attend reviews with internal and external design teams utilizing teleconferencing when applicable.
• Ensure a full understanding of complete project requirements and the follow up actions
• Able to provide guidance about best practices for manufacturability and cost saving for design engineers.

Bonus points if:

At least 2 or 3 years of relevant experience Studies: BSEE (Electronics Engineer) or related.
