Job Description


As a Senior Associate you will spend everyday in defining, refining and delivering operations to meet the needs of our global business. The role will encompass ownership including managing the tax authorization verification requirements and facilitating full data delivery to the Firm\'s approved tax preparers within pre-defined timelines. Ongoing participation in the further expansion of the program. This person will need to be a key contributor to resolving technical challenges as well as focusing heavily on robust controls to offset associated risk of highly technical and currently highly manual processes involving sensitive data.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Verification of the third party tax calculations and transactions resulting from the program including analysis of supporting travel diary data input and manual validation/simulation of payroll calculations
  • Own the end to end tax cycle process - tax support authorization, monitoring the selection process, tax filing monitoring across multiple locations, Foreign Tax Credit repayment process
  • Managing employee tax collection process including repayment and bank reconciliation
  • Partner with Corporate Tax, Payroll teams, and key external vendors to ensure Tax controls are appropriate, consistently followed and are current in a changing environment
  • Performing in-depth analysis and reconciliation of all tax data and documentation (Tax year-end local and US statements, Tax reconciliations) in relation to global business travel and ensure all areas of risk are identified and mitigated with strong controls.
  • Ongoing participation in the broader project work related to the continued expansion of the BT Tax & US Persons operations rollout, as required.
  • Working with program and project teams, be responsible to support for the successful launch and implementation

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
    • Bachelor\'s degree in Business or Accounting with 6+ years of operational experience with previous leadership responsibilities
    • Proven track record of successfully managing operations with focus on quality, driving change, and delivering effective service to customers
    • Knowledge and experience in money movement/ Payroll, Tax and/or Accounting is highly preferred
    • Demonstrated Microsoft Suite experience including Visio and Power point. Strong Excel skills essential
    • Possesses a proven track record of delivering results through cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders
    • Experienced in identifying and mitigating operational risk through effective controls
    • Able to effectively manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment; can simultaneously manage and deliver multiple projects
    • Outstanding work ethic with a high degree of confidentiality
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, relationship and consensus building skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization; effectively gains agreement and consensus for ideas
