Job Description


As the Lead-Editorial Operations, you will be incharge of assisting the Editor-In-Chief in managing the day-to-day projects, and campaigns. The role will also extend to supporting her daily work routine, and assisting in overseeing day-to-day administrative operations. Effectively efficiently assist in maintaining the editorial lifecycle from ideation to delivery Assist in maintaining an editorial and production schedule to ensure smooth operations Work closely with the editorial team and collaborate with marketing, design data teams to streamline workflow and improve efficiency and quality Oversee the creation of editorial briefs and guidelines Maintain daily tracking and reporting Act as a liaison between the Editor-In-Chiefs office, Inc42 staff, and the public, handling phone calls, emails, and visitors, screening messages, and directing calls appropriately Manage professional and personal scheduling for the Editor-In-Chief, including calendar management, scheduling meetings, appointments, travel arrangements, and other logistics Ensure the Editor-In-Chief is well-prepared for upcoming meetings by providing all necessary information and keeping her informed of time-sensitive and priority issues Identify key vacancies in the editorial team by proactively analysing performance and communicating with the senior leadership team Create and own the recruitment process and candidate onboarding Support the Editor-In-Chief as directed to ensure that the companys goals and objectives are accomplished, and editorial operations run efficiently Prepare business correspondence, agendas, minutes of meetings, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders Drive excellence across editorial verticals by building and owning operational processes Conduct editorial audits and gap analysis to develop recommendations Exercise discretion and independent judgement to ensure smooth operations of the Editor-In-Chief s office Ensure tactful and diplomatic engagement with external stakeholders Tracking, analysing and conducting market research, and user research Assist the Editor-In-Chief in corporate events and off-sites from concept to delivery Solve problems through structured thinking, research, project planning, and on-ground execution Qualifications: Graduate with over 3 years of experience. MBA/MA (English/Journalism) would be preferred 2+ years of work experience in early-stage startups (0-1) or newsroom will be a plus Generalists, with a can-do attitude, who are looking to get their hands dirty Impeccable communication skills. This includes the ability to write, edit proofread as well. Super high energy, excellent organisation project management capability, structured thinking Ability to define processes and manage operations Good analytical skills. Proficient in MS Excel, MS PPT and collaboration tools High level of integrity to handle sensitive and confidential information.
