The Role Responsibilities

Strategy

Establish, drive and co-ordinate the country strategy, execution and priorities to deliver sustainable growth across NR Clients, ensuring that the Bank fulfils it potential and realizes significant revenue and operating profit growth opportunity that the segment represents

Specific geographies to support in the setup of NRI partnerships

  • Kenya
  • Onshore
  • Other Africa and Asia geographies
Specific activities in this regards would be:
  • Develop the Business Plan and forecasts for the prospective partnerships keeping in mind the Local Country and India L&C requirements and Cross Border Do's and Don'ts
  • Ensure that all relevant stakeholder approvals (including L&C, OR, Finance, Business, HR) both in Local country and India are available for the Business Plan
  • Ensure that all relevant stakeholder approvals (including L&C, OR, Finance, Business, HR) both in Local country and India are available for various NRI products and services proposed to be made available in the above geographies
  • Assist in the setup of the NRI partnerships in all aspects including
? RM hiring and Training

? Infrastructure- Seating, Marketing material, Laptop and Communication infrastructure

? Infrastructure for Product Booking; including provision of system access, scan facilities, etc

? Processes for booking products, product brochures, AOF, marketing materials

? Website, Toll-free, PO Box and other remote servicing channels for the geography

? Putting in place the financial reporting mechanism
  • Segment creation on eBBS, Cust class creation on PSGL
  • Arm code creation for RMs
  • Cost Centre creation
  • Understanding between Finance teams on MR processes etc.
Ensure that all relevant stakeholder approvals (including L&C, OR, Finance, Business, HR) both in Local country and India are available for various NRI products and services proposed to be made available in the above geographies
  • Supporting the NRI teams in the respective locations post setup in NRI product know-how and other assistance from a Products standpoint.
  • Reviewing and Monitoring NRI performance in the respective geographies in the following aspects:
  • Book and AUM growth
  • Revenue Productivity/RM. Salary and Incentives Cost/ RM
  • Overall Revenue and Cost performance of the NRI team
  • NTB Customer acquisitions
  • Client attrition
  • # of Client Complaints and Service issues
  • RM attrition
  • Overall NRI Franchise growth
  • Competition benchmarks in these geographies
  • Working with local SCB Franchise to help build the NRI Business locally through various initiatives:
  • Campaigns for Existing SCB NRI base
  • Events and partnerships with local NRI associations
  • Digital marketing

  • In depth knowledge of retail Clients as well as segment engagement
  • Thorough knowledge of the cross border guidelines
  • Proven capabilities in growing businesses / lead indicators
  • Excellent ability to network and manage a matrix organization structure i.e. to balance the differing objectives of the functional businesses and ensure that the solution is in the best interests of overall business
  • Endurance, personal perseverance, strong self motivation, entrepreneurial, team player
  • Ability to analyze numbers and apply them towards achieving outcomes
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
