J.P. Morgan in India provides a comprehensive range of Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Asset & Wealth Management, and corporate functions services and solutions to our clients, executing some of the most important financial transactions and providing essential strategic advice to our clients such as the government, large domestic and multi-national corporations, non-government organizations and financial institutions and investors. Our Corporate Center in Bangalore is strategically placed to support the firm's operations regionally and globally. Global Finance & Business Management ("GF&BM") India is a combined LOB-aligned (Line of Business-aligned) finance & business support team located in India and is part of JPMorgan's global capability center (GCC). We are part of the Office of the CFO (OCFO) organization within JPMorgan, which has 13000+ people across the globe, majority of whom are tasked with managing the firm's Finance function, responsible for reporting quarterly earnings and complying with regulatory requirements along with managing the firm's capital.

GF&BM India was established in September 2002 and currently we have a network of more than 3400+ professionals based out of our Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad offices who support four main "pillars" of work - Controllers, Planning & Analysis, Finance Operations and Business Client & Products. The teams in India are aligned to the respective LOBs that they support which include Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB), Commercial Banking (CB), Consumer and Community Banking (CCB), Asset & Wealth Management (AWM) and Corporate/Firmwide functions.

At JPMorgan Chase, Commercial Banking ("CB") is a top provider of banking services to wholesale clients from small businesses to large, complex businesses with domestic and international needs. CB comprises of Corporate Client Banking & Specialized Industries (CCBSI), Middle Market Banking & Specialized Industries (MMBSI), Commercial Real Estate (CRE). Commercial Banking is making significant investments across our business to improve how we interact with our clients in every way.

The CCBSI group within CB covers companies globally, typically with revenues of over $500mm, delivering the full capabilities of JPMorgan in traditional banking services and investment banking products. The group partners with investment bankers, credit, payments and other product partners to offer customized and complex financing solutions to clients.

The CCBSI Finance & Business Management (F&BM) team strives to be a strategic partner to grow and optimize the business via best-in-class information, analytics, and operational discipline. Partnering closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams, F&BM also helps drive key initiatives and process improvements while ensuring that CCBSI's complex and evolving operations are managed effectively.

Position Overview:

This position requires leading high-performance, and data driven team with in-depth business and product knowledge to provide product analysis support to Product/Segment CFOs and Planning Analytics Group Key Responsibilities:

  • Overall leadership of the Product Specialist team with accountability for results
  • Develop and lead a high-performance team with a focus on insights and in-depth product analysis
  • Partner with Planning and Analytics team, Segment CFOs to help drive growth and optimization strategies through robust analytics and recommendations
  • In-depth and forward-looking analysis on Lending and Capital, Payments/Deposits and IB, e.g., creating pages relevant for Earnings scripts, QBR and Strategy offsite, RWA/revolver analysis
  • Budget Support, e.g., scientific models to enhance forecasting techniques
  • BSF Analytics with insights and recommendations

Key Skills Required:
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, exceptional problem solving and analytical skills, i.e., frame problem statements/hypothesis/use cases and construct analytical framework/solutions to help drive business strategy
  • Perform deep-dive product analysis and able to articulate complex problems in a simple manner
  • Demonstrated ability to lead high performance teams
  • Ability to challenge status quo and be able to deliver independently
  • C-level communication, strategic thinking and Strong organizational skills
  • Strong leadership, organizational and partnership abilities to drive improvements and change
  • Proactive, results oriented, fact based, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Qualifications:
  • Seasoned professional with planning, budgeting and business analysis experience of over 8 years
  • Solid understanding of banking concepts and product knowledge
  • CA / ICWA / CMA / CPA / MBA Finance from premier institute
  • In-depth knowledge in Excel, PowerPoint (required); knowledge of BI reporting tools is a plus
