About the Team

The editorial team sits within marketing with a focus on written articles/web content to capture home improvement. The team produces hundreds of articles per year, as well as thousands of updates to existing content, with a particular focus on winning the click via search and converting those clicks into customers via shoppable elements.

Job Summary:

We\'re looking for a knowledgeable home improvement associate to join the creative team in Lowe\'s Marketing to support the content strategy work as well as supporting the publishing of DIY and inspiration article content for Lowes.com. The ideal candidate has excellent written and grammar skills and a track record of success in managing and publishing articles. This individual should have a passion for all things home - inside and out- including interior design, d\xc3\xa9cor, DIY projects, outdoor living and renovations, and is always current on the latest trends in the industry.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Take completed article information from the team including copy, imagery, and product links and put it into the spreadsheet template required for publishing. Pitch ideas and concepts to internal stakeholders, incorporate feedback and obtain approvals.
  • Submit and manage Jira tickets in partnership with .com teams to get the team\'s articles published.
  • Make small updates to articles in existing spreadsheet intake, like updating product links, swapping in new photography, or minor text edits.
  • Help traffic article and video assets for paid marketing campaigns.
  • Compile performance data for article and video content from Adobe Analytics and YouTube
  • Learn about SEO and YouTube optimization to proactively identify opportunities in article or video content, including link updates, keyword integration, and more.
  • Prioritize and self-manage workload based on time sensitivity, impact and of effort.
  • Pursue self-development, seek feedback, and adapt to and learn from change.
Years of Experience:

0-2 years experience in website content publishing.

  • Basic understanding of web content best practices including SEO.
Secondary Skills (desired)

  • Working with a publisher in the home improvement or interior design space.

  • Experience with Office Suite, Workfront, JIRA, Youtube Analytics and Adobe Analytics
