We have openings in the Information Technology Department for a NOC Technician. Responsibles would include
monitoring all hardware, software, network and operational processes within Hy-Vees Hy-Vee Retail Stores, Offices,
Warehouses and Subsidiaries. Some of the major solutions for this monitoring include: Servers, Virtual Machines, Switches,
Firewalls, Access Points, Databases, and Support escalations.
This NOC Technician role will provide a high level of customer service by proactively monitoring and responding to variables
that impact our operational systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will excel at obtaining results in a fast paced
environment, have excellent troubleshooting skills, and can connect technology to real-world business challenges.
1. Monitor all hardware, software, network and operational functions including but not limited to: workstations,
servers, mainframe, routers, phone systems, wireless and networking.
2. Proactive and timely response to system alarms/alerts
3. Record and update tickets with a level of detail while escalating to additional Network/System teams where
appropriate.
4. Following protocols to collaborate with co-workers, identify problems and suggests solutions.
5. Complete daily tasks as well as ad-hoc projects/tasks as they arise.
6. Work with 3rd party vendor support on Hy-Vees behalf.
7. Provide and update Knowledge Base and website material.
8. Ensure SLAs are being reached and reported on.
9. Works directly with Network and Systems administratiors on escalations.
